Glasgow crowd

Wanna preface this by saying the performance by the band was amazing and no issues on that front. I was wondering if anyone else had any issues with the crowd. I’m 26 and I’d say I’m pretty experienced in going to gigs particularly in Glasgow but last night might have been my worst experience at a show ever. We were in the pen so maybe didn’t do ourselves any favours there. Just surrounded by drunk teenagers, I know that in itself isn’t a problem but there were times when the plastic cups were getting thrown at each other at some force that it was genuinely scary. Kids just having full volume conversations the entire time only stopping to get their phones out and film some of the more popular songs. I know bands of this size sometimes fall victim to people coming to see them for one or two songs rather than the whole event but this really was the worse I’ve experienced. Makes me feel like a boomer doing a post like this.

Conference league swings and roundabouts

Mixed emotions obviously. At the end of the day to qualify for any European competition is massive. Hard for it not to feel like a step backwards after already being in Europa but I’m sure I’ll get over it. Tough as well when UCL could’ve been on the cards and Europa was very doable. Main concern is it’s much less of a draw for players to sign for us/not move to a bigger club. Also slightly worried if Palace do win it this year that has to be huge pressure for us to do the same thing. Trying not to be negative though…
