Hope someone can advise which lens would be better in what situations. I know the 17-40 is heavier and bigger, but is the upside worth it? The 18-50 is lighter and I already have this lens and is definitely much more portable. If i was to upgrade to the 17-40 F1.8 I would then need to sell the 18-50 since i dont think its worth keeping both lens right?

Currently I’m using a a6100 with a Sony 35mm oss lens + sigma 18-50. I’m still pretty new to the photography circle but I have a weird habit of trying to get better equipment even though I don’t need it right away. I want to upgrade to a Sony 6700 with sigma 17-40 f1.8 lens. So it’s a pretty big upgrade. I mainly use my camera on trips out of the state. I’m in NY but I haven’t really explore too much but would like to use the camera for landscape/street photography. I want to get a 75mm-85mm lens in the future but not yet. I think the main thing I want is the better auto focus for the 6700 please advise
