Im sick and tired.

Why should WE be the ones to accomodate for other peoples dogs?

I just went downstairs to get a yogurt cup (god forbid, right?) and as I walk over to the table- my stepsisters mutt barks at me for like 8 seconds straight.

(Context: he kept barking for like a good 5 seconds after he saw me.)

And I just kept yelling stop at it- because I'm sick and tired of just taking this noise pollution!

I turn to leave but my stepsister tells me to stay. She explains how me yelling just makes the dog think im playing. (And granted- dogs are stupid as hell, so that's probably true) but then she says I just have to talk to it!

I shouldnt NEED to speak to your mutt to be able to wak around in my own house freely! He's been with me and my family for years at this point! HE SHOULD KNOW WHO I AM!

But no- that's too much to ask right?

So again I ask. Why do WE have to be the ones to change to make it 'safer' for your mutt?

I'm fighting back, idgaf anymore

I just got out of the shower right? And of course- my dog barks at nothing again! So yknow what I do? I stomp on the tile(?) floor (with my heel because it's super loud and booming), and I keep doing that whenever he barks.

And it worked! The mutt shut up after a couple stomps. I don't care what anyone things- if a dog is barking, I will make noise back.

There should be a short film about the effects of dogs

After watching Unedited Footage Of A Bear- and more short films in general, there needs to be a horror short film about the effects of dogs on humans. More importantly thr barking and how it can effect our brains. What do yall think!

They fight with eachother ALL THE TIME.

Heres what I dont understand. How come dog owners are so surprised about a dog attacking them

AS IF DOGS DONT DO THAT TO OTHER ANIMALS AND EVEN OTHER DOGS?? Like- how many times has a dog (leash or no leash) just went nuts over (god forbid) another dog a yard away?

They’re too angry to even think right! And they have the audacity to be shocked when they turn on them??

I might be genuinely going crazy /hj

I swear that I keep hearing dogs barking in my head. A bit ago I snapped at my step sister because I thought I heard the dog outside bark and yowl.

I hate this. I don’t know what to do. Why can’t they just stop. I don’t know what to do.

They’re so stupid.

Just had my dog go fucking batshit crazy barking. The reason? Someone he’s seen for like all his live has the AUDACITY to enter the house.

Because god forbid, right?? Ugh.

been getting bolder

idk if anyone else does this- but i make it very clear when i dont like dogs barking.

My dad works in the toom next to me- and whenever i hear a dow YOWLING outside, i let out a loud, drawn out ‘OHHHH MYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOD!” I dont scream, but i make it loud.

He’s been getting on my case about it. Should I keep going?

why ARE they the ‘standard animal’?

I’m not talking about like ‘oh theyre so aggressive and deadly why are they so commonplace’ (even though that is true-)

Im wondering why and how they became the standard animal- the first thing you think of when youre asked to think of a pet/animal

It makes sense yet it doesnt at the same time to me. Maybe its because they were (supposedly) the first wild animal to be tamed?

If anyone can link me to like genuine articles talking about this, that would be great!

A this point, we should bark/yell back.

These mutts nextdoor are so loud. Thry don’t bark often- but when they do.. its like a yowl. FOR NO REASON.

So, i bark back. Loud and long. I don’t care anymore. If they can disturb my peace, i feel like i can disturb theirs.

Normalize barking back at dogs when they do it for no reason. Give them a taste of their medicine
