Im altering this dress for a friend and wanted to get some advice on changing the neckline. right now its a cowl neck but she wants it to be a halter neck. Any ideas how to do that? I know it’s not going to be a standard thing/might be janky but I’m open to whatever ideas y’all have!

First picture shows the insid of the dress where the satin meets the lining. It is pinned but you can see how it folds in. Second picture is the top of the dress on my friend.

Also would y’all add a dart for that part that’s sticking out (by the hanger loop) or just take it in to reduce the fabric on the side?
