My wife does the majority of the work with the baby.

Our daughter is 3 weeks old and it’s our first! As the title states my wife handles the baby majority of the work with the baby (feeding, putting the baby down and even takes her to bed with her while I’m still up.

As that happens I pivot to handling the cooking, cleaning, laundry, housework and any errands or whatever is needed.

I do a formula feed in the middle of the day with my daughter (to give my wife a break) and change all her diapers and handle baths, but I feel like I’m not doing enough.

When I ask my wife “do you need me for anything?” Or “what can I do?” And even “am I doing enough?” She always tells me I’m doing great as a father, as she knows I feel like I’m not doing enough.

I was wondering if this is normal for new dads, any advice is appreciated.
