Junkyard Saints - Early Preview

Hey everyone,

I’d like to share a first look at my current solo project: Junkyard Saints.

It’s a Roguelite/Survivor-like game, but instead of focusing only on endless waves and screen chaos, I’m building it around a full campaign with an actual story, unique maps, gameplay systems, enemies, boss fights, and progression.

Some of the planned features include:

  • Story-driven campaign progression
  • Multiple handcrafted maps with unique mechanics
  • Different enemy factions and bosses
  • Procedurally generated gear with prefixes, suffixes, and affixes
  • Character builds and progression systems
  • Dungeons and challenge modes
  • Skins and cosmetic unlocks
  • Loot systems and crafting mechanics
  • Additional endgame-style activities and experiments

The project is being developed entirely by me, and I’m currently planning a release on Steam, itch.io, and possibly mobile platforms later on.

Right now, I’d really love to hear honest feedback from people who enjoy games in this genre:

  • What do you usually want from Survivor-like games?
  • What features keep you playing long-term?
  • What do you think about the concept so far?
  • Is there anything you feel is missing?
  • Would this be a game you’d keep an eye on or potentially buy at release?

Also, sorry for some of the German terms in the gameplay footage. The project originally started as German-only, and I’m currently rewriting and localizing everything into English.

I’d genuinely appreciate any thoughts, criticism, or ideas. Thanks for checking it out.
