Izbacio sam demo za svoju prvu igricu na Steam - Synthularity

Cao, poslednjih par meseci radim solo na igri. U sustini je igra crossover izmedju Nodebustera i Game About Feeding a Black Hole. Jednostavan koncept, zanrovski bi spadala pod neku kombinaciju bullet heaven, roguelite i rhythm igrice sa incremental elementima.

Bazira se na kratkim ranovima koji se sa upgradovima produzuju, istrazivanju ogromne neonske stampane plocice u vidu tech tree-a, i vizuelnih efekata i muzike koji postaju intenzivniji sa progresom.

Muziku je takodje radio nas domaci umetnik tako da bacite pogled na njegove drustvene mreze sa linka iz creditsa. U trejleru mozete cuti deo celog soundtracka.

Svaki vid podrske i kritike je dobrodosao.

Hard Cap or Infinite? How should stats progress

In roguelites there are some stats such as Dodge, Dmg Reduction etc can majorly impact game feel, even break the game completely.

Devs need to figure a way out, here are some of the examples:

Brotato: Hard Cap at 70% (Exception for Ghost character 90%)
Risk of Rain: A curve gets close to 99.999% at inf dodge upgrade
League of Legends: A curve gets close to 99.999% at inf armor/mr

Developing new weapons.

I came up with some weapon ideas to gift to Grandma.

Slippers that smack zombies

Zombies trapped under a rocking chair

A shadow that fights for She

Maybe she can even skillfully use high-tech weapons

I made some prototypes to bring the ideas to life. I especially love the rocking chair one.

Made a new enemy type! Can you spot it in the first 3 seconds?

This stone golem uses Unitys animation system (Animator + AnimationController) to go from its defensive form (looking like a rock) to its aggressive form (warlking and attacking). I use my own state-machine for the enemy logic and to trigger animation transitions.

The model and animations are made in blender.

When the enemy is in its defensive form, it blocks the flow of the fire simulation and takes highly reduced damage. This might also block the fire for other enemies behind the stone golem, which I think is a cool mechanic.

What do you think about this design?

Hi I'm Max the Solodev of HeroTail: Survivors, an upcoming run-based roguelike where your heroes form a living chain.

The original plan was to sell it at a low price, but I changed it to free so more player can try the game.

Similiar to my previous game "Idle Pixel Fantasy", there will be some mini-DLCs, but these are completely optional. You can get all achievements and beat the game without paying anything! There are no hidden costs or ingame microtransactions.

New boss design 🐙

His name is Hedion, a Amorphophallus titanum / octopus vulgaris hyrbrid. His behavior is that he spawns a maze with his tentacles which you have to solve quickly before his putrid spores kill you. I'm currently working on the sprites now that I've locked in the mazes.

I've come to face a decision with him: either randomize the the mazes and sacrifice on the pixel art tentacles or lock in a series of mazes and draw them in full style. I am leaning more towards the latter because in time I can keep adding more variations after the demo release and give him more depth as time allows.

What do you think of Hedion?

Hi Survivors,

I have been posting here for a while now and with my new trailer I would like to ask all of you that can to jump in and playtest my game. I really really need the feedback in any shape or form. I am sure there is a lot that can be better but I need help spotting it. So if you got he time. Please try my game and get back to me with feedback.

Since last time I made a lot of updates including steam deck improvements. Performance improvments. Hardwaredetection. More upgrades, customizable projectiles, mega elites and more, updated UI, narrator tutorial and more :).

I just pushed the newest update.

The playtest is open and no keys are required. It's on Steam just search for Master of Chaos.

Thanks to anyone whoplays the game and gives me some feedback :).

How is the pacing? (5 in difficulty is low for new players)

Is it fun?

What do you miss?

Huge bugs?

What can be improved?

What grass and details level looks best?

Anything else! Any feedback is much needed! Im all alone on this project so after some time it really becomes hard to see the flaws with noone to sparr with.

Also if you got feedback and the new trailer thats also good but the playtest is where I really need the help :).
