Send Them to Hell Co-op Reveal Trailer

Hello Everyone.

Yes it's me again. But you know what. We have a good game. We have a community who is passionate and finding a hole to fill that Megabonk left. We didn't decompile code. We didn't copy and paste the art style, we made new mechanics, we listened to feedback, and we built a community who is die hard passionate for a game that isn't even released. You don't have to stop playing Megabonk, you don't have to compare us. Instead find a place where you can scratch the same itch or get your fix with friends.

SCREENRANT PICKED UP MY GAME!!!

I am at a lost for words. Screenrant picked up my game and gave it an amazing review. I am so beyond happy right now I could cry. I don't have much to say I just wanted to share with everyone. Keep on grinding, don't stop sharing your game and do the embarrassing and awkward thing if you have to but get it in front of people!

Send Them to Hell - Official Trailer

Hello everyone! ❤️

Josh from Sojaplin Studios here!

We just wrapped up an amazing playtest weekend for Send Them to Hell, and honestly, the feedback we received has meant so much to me and the team.

Seeing people jump into the game, play together, laugh, break the game with ridiculous builds, and then take the time to send us thoughtful feedback is exactly why we make games. 🥹

If you love chaotic roguelites, insane builds, and co-op with friends, I really think Send Them to Hell is worth checking out!

We’re getting closer and closer to release, and every wishlist, playtest, share, and piece of feedback helps us get there. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far!

Send Them to Hell - Official Trailer | A Pixel Roguelite with Co-op

Hello... again!

Three weeks ago I shared our reveal trailer. The response was amazing, but the trailer didn't really show what the game had become, so I went back and made one that does.

Today I've updated the Steam page and uploaded the Official Trailer.

Send Them to Hell isn't trying to be a clone or "Megabonk meets something else." It's a game I've spent countless hours building for players who enjoy games like Megabonk, Vampire Survivors, and Risk of Rain, while still having its own identity.

As a solo developer, this has been a huge journey. I couldn't have done it without the incredibly talented artists who helped create the visuals that brought the game to life.

To everyone from this community who wishlisted the game after my last post, thank you. Your support genuinely helped keep this project moving forward, and I'm excited to finally show you a trailer that represents the game the way it deserves.

In the first comment I will post some promotional artwork so you can see what we've been pouring our heart into.

Megabonk and Vampire Survivors fueled me to make my own Roguelite

Hello Megabonk Fans!

I saw previous devs do this and if this isn't allowed mods please remove. I am a huge fan of Megabonk and Vampire Survivors and that has lead me to make a Co-op Roguelite/like called Send Them to Hell. The game has a lot of inspiration from a ton of other roguelikes like Velium and Risk of Rain, and I have a playtest coming in August, and a Co-Op play test coming in September. The game is on track to release in October 2026 and is polishing into a really fun experience.

There is a lot that's different from previous entries and I really hope the same community can find enjoyment in this game like they have with Megabonk. We already have two post launch characters ready to keep content fresh, and some other surprises and will push every additional update free.

On launch we will offer 4 Game modes.

Adventure - Campaign Style Run
Endless - Similar to other roguelites
Weekly Seed - Leaderboard Challenge on the same seed
Fractured Earth - A floor based experience that we will touch base on in the future

All will be available with full co-op.

Again, I'm not here to break rules downvote or delete if this is wrong, I do not want to create a negative reputation I've just seen other devs promote here.

Advice for new and returning players

Hello everyone,

Since Sekiro launched, I would always do the same thing. I would start a new run, absolutely powerhouse through the game, make it all the way to Isshin, spend a month trying to beat him, quit, give up for a few months, then come back and repeat the entire process. It was the definition of insanity. I never got a different outcome until recently.

A few weeks ago, I finally beat Isshin.

The thing that finally clicked for me was realizing how I needed to approach the game. Every single boss I got stuck on, I would watch tutorials looking for tactics, cheese methods, or specific prosthetics to use. And sure, some of those things work. Demon of Hatred's cheese method actually does cheese the fight, and prosthetics can absolutely make certain encounters easier.

But there was one piece of advice I wish I understood back when I bought this game at launch.

You need to be your own Shinobi.

I kept hearing that I needed to improve my parrying, improve my counters, and utilize prosthetics better. I would watch people destroy difficult bosses in a few minutes without taking damage and try to copy exactly what they were doing. Eventually, I realized that was my problem.

Every boss in this game has a moveset you need to learn. That part is obvious. But how you get that red critical circle to appear, how you break their posture, and how you survive the fight comes down to how you play.

No, this is not a shitpost. I genuinely mean this.

Some bosses you need to Dark Souls. Some bosses you need to beat the living shit out of. Some bosses you need to parry every attack. Some bosses you need to use prosthetics like the Lapis Axe or hide under the umbrella shield. The important part is finding the combination that works for you and building around it.

Stop focusing so much on damage and start focusing on how you can stay alive while consistently dealing damage. I constantly hear people say "It's a rhythm game" or "Parry better, git gud." And while I am actually pretty good at parrying now, the truth is my reflexes and rhythm are about as good as a worm sitting under a heat lamp.

Yet I can now powerhouse through bosses on NG+ and beyond because I stopped trying to play like someone else and started playing like myself.

People can give you advice on how to be a Shinobi, but actually being your own Shinobi is a completely different thing.

TLDR:

Sekiro is an amazing game and absolutely requires skill. You do need to "git gud," but you need to get good at playing your way. Not some YouTube video telling you the flawless way to beat a boss, not some Reddit comment telling you exactly what you need to do.

Advice is amazing and should be taken, but apply it logically in a way you can actually use. Don't copy someone else's playstyle and expect it to magically work for you. Be yourself, even if that means running in circles and getting one hit in every two minutes. It doesn't matter. That's not hesitation, that's your own skill and your own way of overcoming the challenge.

A lot of failure comes from hesitation. Not because you can't do it, but because you convince yourself you can't.

Hesitation is defeat.

After months in development hell… it’s time to Send Them to Hell!

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to showcase my game Send Them to Hell. Based purely on Java. Send Them to Hell is an action Roguelite/like and is coming this October. It's almost finally finished just needs play testing and polishing!

I've spend literal months balancing, changing, and polishing this product and I can't wait to bring this to the keyboard and controllers of players.

Send Them to Hell a new Roguelike coming this October!

Hello Everyone!

I don't really post on Reddit, I'm usually just lurking through the comments, but I finally have something I'm proud to post about.

After months of development hell, countless late nights, Codecademy courses, and YouTube tutorials trying to refine what little Java knowledge I had, I finally have a finished product that I'm excited to share.

Send Them to Hell releases this October on Steam and Epic Games!

PREMISE: Satan's forces are gathering to take over Earth. Gather your friends and jump into this chaotic co-op roguelike and fight back against the forces sent to destroy you.

Fight solo or team up with up to 3 friends as you battle endless waves of enemies or take on a level-based adventure mode. Upgrade your weapons, obtain powerful items, survive the onslaught, and prove that humanity isn't going down without a fight.

-

It's been a nightmare of balancing and adjusting items, weapons, character levels, meta progression, out-of-run currency, and a million other things I never realized went into making a game.

But finally, the other night, I reached a point where I was sitting there playing it with my buddies and genuinely having a blast. That's when I felt confident enough to put together a trailer and finally publish my store page.

Attached is my trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR2L_QM9P0M

If you enjoy roguelikes, I'd love for you to check it out, wishlist it, and hopefully playtest when available and provide feedback.

In all honesty it's been an absolute blast and I just hope someone who loves the genre as much as I do finds enjoyment in this game. I've attached some media I used on the steam page however the UI is outdated and I will need to update those.
