Arcadium - Space Odyssey: new Bullet Fest update is live, plus 40% off on Steam

Solo dev of Arcadium - Space Odyssey here, a space bullet heaven with a few twists: fight aliens, harvest entire planets, and explore a procedurally generated universe!

The game features quick 12-minute runs, lots of ships with unique abilities, and tons of items, artifacts, talents, relics... UPGRADES :) It plays great on Steam Deck, too.

A new update just dropped with two new ships, and the game is 40% off until the end of Bullet Fest, so it's the best time to grab it for under $5.

I released my solo-developed space survivors-like demo just in time for Steam Bullet Fest

Hey everyone,

I pushed the demo for Destroy The Moon live a little earlier than planned so it could join Steam Bullet Fest this week.

It’s a space-themed survivors-like roguelite where you play as ARTEMIS-X, a very heavily armed spaceship with one simple mission: survive endless alien swarms and stop the Moon from becoming cosmic dinner.

The demo focuses on fast progression, weapon upgrades, evolutions, multiple spaceship loadouts, and large-scale alien chaos. For the full release, I’m also planning bigger Space Events like black holes, pocket dimensions, and other questionable cosmic decisions.

I’m solo-developing the game, so any feedback is genuinely helpful. If you enjoy Vampire Survivors-style games, bullet heavens, roguelites, or just want to blow up aliens in space, I’d love for you to try it.

We've also joined the public festival on Steam and are open to feedback

Hi everyone!
We haven't shown our game on Reddit before and I'm a little nervous, but I feel like it's for the best, especially during the current Bullet Fest, when hundreds of players are trying out games from different developers in this genre.

This is a game set in a Slavic theme, where you play as a gusli player clearing Beloozero from evil spirits of ancient folklore using just one letter "O", while also collecting resources to build your base. Already available are active and passive skills, stat upgrades, temporary boosters and power-ups, a small meta-progression system (still without choice yet), and two locations with their own unique mobs. At release, there will also be bosses :)

The demo version isn't fully finished yet, so any opinion can seriously impact it - we constantly listen to feedback and immediately make changes if we feel the idea fits the project. If you have a chance to share feedback, we'd be happy to hear it.

Etched in Chaos - Early Game Concept

Hi r/BulletHeavens !

Let me introduce my new game concept, created with blood, sweat and tears and AI coding assistance in Godot engine, using a free asset for my protagonist, everything else is coming from Godot.
Besides survivors-like staples, I introduced a rune drawing mechanic, that can give specific shape-based damage and effects.

We're 2 people and our space bullet-heaven is joining Steam Bullet Fest in a few hours. A bit nervous ngl!

Hey everyone. Long-time lurker, first time posting our own game here.

Our team (2 of us at ProtoGames) has spent the last couple of years building Spaceborn: Awakening, a narrative-driven bullet-heaven roguelite. You play as a legendary space crew answering a mysterious distress signal, fighting through the Voss Praetor's corrupted army while slowly awakening abilities that change the way each run plays out.

Heavily inspired by the classics and new titles like Vampire Survivor, Deep-Rock Galactic Survivor, Death Must Die and League of Legend's Swarm (whoever remembers that!). Our own twist is spicing up the evolution and build path mechanics while also leaned hard into the story side too.

We had a first game. It didn't find its audience. We spent a long time figuring out what we got wrong and this is us applying those lessons and hoping for the best.

In a few hours we're in Steam Bullet Fest and it felt like the right time to finally share it here.

If it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist helps a lot to continue doing what we love! 🙏

I made a new trailer for Zombie Tower Survivor showing off the abilities coming next

Hey everyone!

My game, Zombie Tower Survivor, is in the Strategems event this week, so it felt like a good time to share an update.

I've dropped a new trailer with a sneak peek at some of the new abilities coming to the full version of my game and pushed a demo update too.

If you haven't tried the demo yet, you're welcome to jump in. It's a tower defense survivor-like game with a lot of build variety to play around with.

Would love to hear what you think: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2934480/Zombie_Tower_Survivor/

You play the slasher, and the whole town is destructible — a proper 50-second look this time

Last week I posted an early clip but being a newbie the GIF was unwatchable. Here is a better video that will give you a better sense of the game.

Quick version for anyone new: it's a survivors-like, except you're not surviving — you're what the town runs from. You play the slasher, and the whole place is destructible. You start by hunting the campers in the dark then it escalates as the cops and the military come in with their vehicles. In the video you can see some of the wepons: a baseball bat that can launch enemies, vehicles, trees and so forth, grenades that can destroy buildings and a propane tank that levels the area.

Still an early prototype. The only thing I actually want to know is whether it looks fun in motion — and whether "you're the villain + everything breaks" reads as something genuinely different, or just survivors-like #847 with a new coat of paint. Be brutally honest. I'd rather hear it now than after I sink six more months in. What would really help is if you could download and try the game on itch and give me some feedback. I'm also uploading devlogs daily with how I went about making this in about 2 months as my first game experience ever with little prior knowledge.

I Got Sick of All The Vampire Survivor Clones...So I made A Game Where You Kill A Hero!

Game Title: Zero Survivors: The Hero Must Die

Playable Link: https://peggydoggames.itch.io/zero-survivors

Platform: PC (Windows) on itch.io

Description: There are many, many, MANY games out now where you play as a hero, unlock weapons and abilities and kill a load of skeletons. Has anybody stopped to think about how those poor skeletons feel about this?

Zero Survivors: The Hero Must Die Flips that whole genre on its head. You play as death fighting one single, solitary Hero. Of course, death has no attacks, weapons, silly abilities ext. Death selects the right combination of minions, powers and cunning to defeat the hero by any means necessary.

Orbs are still available for experience gain, and you level up...but so does the hero! You will be fighting the hero for every experience orb. If they get an attractorb you had better hope that you can get closer than them to the experience!

Stand next to graves to capture them. Each captured grave will spawn minions, albeit at a slower rate than death. You want as many of those graves captured as possible, but running off to capture graves will allow the hero to farm up experience killing your lovely minions! They will also try to stop you getting those graves whenever they can.

One of my personal favourite parts of the game is the nem ... I mean Heroes of Lore system. If you defeat a hero, they have a chance of coming back stronger and wiser. If you swarmed them with bats to defeat them, then they will have damage bonuses and resistances against bats! You will have to be on your toes with these ones. Of course, the rewards will be far greater too.

Oh - and no bullet heaven is complete without treasure. The only difference is it's the hero getting the treasure of course; not you! Watch them open treasure and pray that it's only one item in that chest.

Most importantly - have fun. I spent a long time on this game so I really hope you like it

Free to Play Status:

  • [x ] Free to play
  • [ ] Demo/Key available
  • [ ] Paid (Allowed only on Tuesdays with [TT] in the title)

Involvement: Solo developed this game over quite a while. I'm currently trying to decide whether to give the game its steam debut instead of just itch, so any feedback is very much appreciated

I got told games focusing more on deep systems instead of beautiful art don't get attention on social media. But I'm still proud of my trailer and the fact that my game is almost out.

At the age of 31 I finally decided to do the thing I wanted to do my whole life and start develop an actual game. Two years and countless sleepless nights later, between 7 wives, 25 kids and 18 jobs it's almost there.

I'm incredibly stoked and even if it probably won't sell well enough to finally put my retail job behind me, I'm just so proud of myself for actually completing the whole damn thing and noone can take that from me.

If you want to check it out or give me honest feedback, there's a demo available:

Thanks for reading : )
