Bit of a silly thing to be overthinking, but my girlfriend’s birthday is next week and I’ve been quietly waiting for her to officially invite me or talk about plans together. So far, every time it comes up she just says she hopes all her friends can make it no mention of me specifically being invited, no talk of us celebrating one-on-one, nothing about where I fit into things. I know I’m her boyfriend and logically I should assume I’m included, but it’s honestly got me feeling pretty overlooked and unsure. Part of me feels stupid for even worrying about it, but I keep wondering, am I reading too much into this? Should I just ask her directly instead of sitting here waiting? Has anyone else dealt with something like this before?
