The most cramped calendar of events in DC (Made by me - 1st month)

The most cramped calendar of events in DC (Made by me - 1st month)

Hey everyone,

Most of you probably know about the infamous Detective Conan timeline: officially, not even a full year has passed since Shinichi was shrunk. In fact, we know that only 6 months passed between the very first case and the London Arc.

If you do the math, fitting that much content into 6 months requires an insane rate of about 36 cases per month.

Obviously, it’s completely unrealistic for a kid to stumble into 36 separate crimes every single month. But it got me wondering: logistically, is it even possible to physically fit that many cases into a 30-day window?

To find out, I sat down and tried to build a hyper-compressed calendar for Conan's "first month" to see if the days actually add up. To my surprise, it’s entirely possible!

Before I share the calendar with you, here are the rules I followed to make this work:

  • I ignored stated verbal timeframes: If a character said "It's been three weeks," "Three days passed," or "This will happen on Sunday," I ignored it. I forced everything to happen in the shortest possible window to create a tight sequence. For example, in Episode 42 (Karaoke Box Murder Case), Sonoko says the party is "next Sunday," but on my calendar, it happens on a Tuesday.
  • I respected visual time: If a case clearly takes place at night, it stays at night. If a story spans across two days visually, I accounted for both days. No rewriting the actual events of the episode.
  • Ran and Conan skip a lot of school: Because I crammed everything together, you're going to notice their attendance rate is not the best, although I tried, if a case seems like it can happen on the late afternoon or evening I will put on a "School" label to indicate that in the morning they could have been in school.
  • Manga order, but Anime titles: I followed Gosho’s official Manga order for the cases, but for easy reference, I used the Anime episode titles and numbers. Because of this, the episode numbers will look pretty scrambled
  • Realistic travel times: I made sure to leave logical gaps for commuting and traveling to different locations so it stays somewhat grounded, sometimes the destination is not cited or the exact time between a travel and the beginning of the case, so I took some freedom to make them go somewhere close.

Whit that said, here is the calendar I managed to make:
