LG G4 tilting forward on 3rd party stand – Bottom hooks won't engage. Need help!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my LG G4 (77") for a while now on a third-party floor stand, but I have a major issue: the TV is tilting forward significantly.

Looking at the back, I’ve noticed a few things:

  1. The TV doesn't sit flush against the vertical mounting bars.
  2. Most importantly: The bottom hooks/brackets of the mount are not "clicking" or engaging with the back of the TV at all. It feels like the TV is only hanging by the top screws, which creates a lot of tension.
  3. Because of the tilt, I’ve been hearing a lot of loud mechanical popping/creaking noises (case flex) when the TV warms up.

I tried jamming a small object (a cloth ball) behind it to keep it straight, but I realized that probably just adds more dangerous pressure to the panel.

I’ve attached some photos of the side profile and the mounting brackets.

Does anyone know what I did wrong?

  • Are the spacers (washers) possibly too long/short?
  • Is this specific mount just incompatible with the flat "Gallery Design" back of the G4?
  • How do I get those bottom hooks to lock in properly so the TV sits vertical?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I accidentally damage this beautiful panel!
