Did I do good?

I was stalking this all day because it was out of stock. Finally from incessantly refreshing it came in stock and I pulled the trigger. Can’t wait to get this bad boy and set it up.

Transporting LG 65” OLED on 5hr country drive

Hi All, just bought a 65” OLED at a country electronics store whilst on holiday. Have been looking around for a while and this guy had a clearance floor stock G5 (iykyk) $1500 cheaper than my home town. It was too good a deal to pass up. However, I now have to get it home.

2 issues; firstly it’s a 5 hour country drive and secondly we can’t fit the tv in the car vertically (tried everything). Laid it flat for the 15min back from the store to our accomodation which was fine, but am dubious about the 5hrs home.

I’m nervous about cracking the TV, so any advice on how to pack it? Is it not even worth trying? All tips appreciated.

OLED77G6 Mounting Question

Hello, I just got a new OLED77G6 but I am unable to use the supplied flush wall mount. All the supplied guides only talk about mounting using the recessed screws at the top of the panel. I cannot find any confirmation that the 4 holes surrounding the logo are approved mounting locations for an aftermarket mount. Can I attach my bracket there? Thanks in advance for your help.

This Damn Tv is Incredible.

So I bought the 77 inch OLED evo C5. First off. This mf may be TOOOO bright. I can’t believe I almost wasted money on the G5 because of brightness. It’s really bright enough. Even in filmmaker mode it looks heavenly after a few tweaks. Game Optimizer is flawless too. What an upgrade. Man. I’m never leaving OLED.

Important setting for an LG OLED and Nintendo Switch 1 / Switch 2

If you have an LG OLED and a Switch 1 or Switch 2 connected to the TV, make sure to set the "Just Scan" setting to "On", otherwise you end up with a cropped image, cutting away the outer borders of the image. Don't set it to "Auto" or "Off".

Settings -> Picture -> Aspect Ratio -> Just Scan -> Set it to "On"

LG G6 77"

I'm looking at purchasing the LG OLED G6, however I have been reading through some user reviews who have mentioned a popping / cracking sound when the TV is in use. This is something I really do not want to have to deal with, especially when spending more than £3k for a TV.

Is there anyone who has a G6 and has not experienced any popping or cracking sounds?

Appreciate anyones help or advice.

* This has nothing to do with the speakers, however thank you on the speaker suggestions. This is regarding a known issue that users are experiencing with the G models, please see the link below:

I wanted to understand whether any G6 users have experienced this same popping / crackling noise issue?

C5 or G5 48 inch

Hi guys,

I'm having a massive dilemma trying to decide which TV to choose. Due to the size limitations of my living room, I can realistically only consider a 48-inch TV.

There's an offer at Richer Sounds for the G5 with a soundbar for £950, including a 6-year warranty. At the same time, I can get the C5 for around £850, but it'll probably only come with a 1-year warranty.

The TV will mainly be used for watching football, YouTube, streaming, and playing online shooters on my PS5.

Please help me decide what the smartest choice would be. Do you think now is the right time to buy last year's model, or should I wait since I'm not in a rush? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Which purchase is safer? Any difference?

Really want to pull the trigger on this G5, but idk if I should wait for Black Friday or go through greentoe (never used them, or just Best Buy (marketplace) for peace of mind. What do you guys think?

Sanus Elite on sale at Bestbuy

$135, good for the rest of the day. Good for those like me that were able to get the recent deal on the 83" G5 and don't want to wall mount it.

LG OLED C5 - Gsync/VRR not syncing TV's refresh rate with game's frame rate

I bought a new LG OLED C5 TV mainly for PC gaming, and was really happy with it yesterday (Day 1). G-Sync/VRR was working fine, TV's refresh rate was syncing with game's frame rate perfectly, and games looked very smooth. Today I tried to play again, but all games had noticeable stuttering. Realized it's because Gsync is no longer syncing TV's refresh rate with game's FPS. Gsync is still enabled, on both the TV and in Nvidia Control Panel on my PC, but it's just not changing TV's refresh rate at all. In the TV's Game Optimiser menu it's showing a constant 119Hz (this number was changing yesterday, matching the game's frame rate), and if you click the green button on the remote multiple times it's showing more specifically that it fluctuates between 118.79Hz and 118.8Hz, even when the game's FPS drops way below that. I tested it with 4 different games, TV's refresh rate never changes.

In the photos I attached you can see the in-game FPS (top right corner) and TV's refresh rate arent even close to each other. Sorry for the wonky photos, I had to control the game's character to get the framerate to drop below 120 to show the problem, and take the picture at the same time.

I tried some basic troubleshooting:

- Making sure my display settings on PC set to 120Hz refresh rate

- Turning Gsync/VRR off and on again in the TV's Game Optimiser menu

- Switching to different picture modes on TV (Game optimiser, filmmaker, cinema etc.), making sure VRR is enabled in all the modes

- Disabling/re-enabling Gsync in Nvidia Control Panel

- Reinstalling Nvidia graphics drivers

- Resetting TV to factory settings

- Power drain TV - unplugged all cables, held power button for 30 sec, left TV to sit 10 min, the plugged everything back in

- Changing HDMI cables

- Changing to different HDMI ports

- Checking for software updates on TV (already have the latest version installed)

- Restoring my PC to a restore point from yesterday (when I know for a fact Gsync was working)

None of it helped, TV's refresh rate is stuck at 119Hz with GSync enabled. If I disabled Gsync/VRR it does go back to 120Hz, but that obviously makes it a Fixed Refresh Rate, which doesnt solve my problem. I have no idea what is going on with Gsync on this TV. Can anybody help me solve this please?

EDIT: Forgot to mention one thing. The TV did install a software update yesterday not long before I went to bed, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the problem.

I also uploaded a short clip on YT if anybody is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tf0SKFqqY0

But it basically shows the same problem in a video format - Game's FPS changes, while TV's refresh rate is stuck at a constant 119Hz with GSYNC enabled.

UPDATE: I have no idea what just happened, but I launched a game and suddenly Gsync is working fine. The TV's frame counter even showing the variable refresh rate matching the game's FPS, instead of just being stuck at 119Hz, and the game feels super smooth again: PIC

I just tried all the same solutions I tried several times earlier today. Like doing a clean reinstall of Nvidia driver, switching the TV between 144Hz and 120Hz modes, Resetting the TV to factory settings, disabling/reenabling Gsync (also Vsync in Nvidia App), restarting the PC for the 20th time today and so on. I don't know what did it, but it's working again. Could be it just fixed itself, hopefully permanently. Sorry to people who find this post on Google looking for a fix, cause this ain't much of an answer, I know. And thanks to all the people trying to help, maybe one of your suggestions worked in the end, I'm just not too sure which one.

After much internal debate, pulled the trigger on the 77" G5

Seems like greentoe was the best deal at the time at $2299 shipped (no tax for my state). I chose this over the 77" C6H as it was cheaper than the best deal I could find and seems slightly better in all cases. I also just like the idea of having a full frame on a TV of this size. Tell me how I did!

I also got a pretty good deal on the S95AR a few weeks back. Major upgrade from my 55" CX and Vizio 5.1 soundbar. Can't wait to pair them together.

I'm curious if anyone recommends a 3rd party warranty. I'm already using one of my credit cards that extends the factory warranty. I haven't heard of what was offered on greentoe (surebright).

Soundbar placement on new setup.

Hi,

I just got my LG C5 83" set up, and I couldn't be happier. Amazing piece of tech.

I am kinda unsure about my senheiser ambeo ultra placement tho.

As you can see it is kinda "behind" the tv and blocked by the A frame of my fitueyes stand.

What do you guys think about it, is my sound "blocked" by it ?

Should i place it on the lower shelf ? I'm afraid if I do that the sound will come too much from the ground..

Should I leave it where it stands?

Ty.

Is the text on TV suppose to look blurry when you look close at it?

LG C5 65"

The picture looks grainy and text looks blurry. Is this normal?

Even the text on settings menu looks blurry and grainy

Kind of ruined experience for me

Why does dynamic make games look so much better compared to any game mode settings?

Doesn't matter if it's LG, Samsung or whatever. Dynamic always looks best for some reason lol

Is it ok to put an oled TV under a window ?

I currently have it on the side wall but for the view distance it's definitely a bit too close for normal viewing, only for gaming its ok, so the only other place is under the window, will it be ok heat wise and not damage the tv on the back of it? Currently I have window glare film on, I would rather not have anything else to have to use because then the room is very dark and a bit lifeless without some natural light

Going back to LG

I switched from an LG OLED to a Samsung S89C QD-OLED a couple years ago when I moved from 65” to 77”. I loved the Samsung, absolutely amazing picture, colors, brightness and blacks. No need for Dolby Vision with this light output.

Then just after two years, the Samsung had a board and or screen failure (super bright vertical green line). Complete loss - over two grand for a tv that’s is useless after only two years!

My 65 LG is still in daily use after more than ten years - no issues.

Never again leaving LG. I would recommend getting an extended warranty for any Samsung OLED.

Has anyone actually had burn in?

Survey since this seems to be a reoccurring question with all the sales happening. Has anyone had burn in on their OLED?
