I tried Apple TV and you're all right, it's better than Google Streaming TV!

I'm getting used to my 65" C6, and I'm gonna keep it! I started with Google Streaming TV, but after reading all the comments, I decided to try Apple TV instead. And you all are right! It's so much better! I like interface way better. Much cleaner. It costs more but you also get three months of Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Fitness, and something else.

77 inch C5

Was planning on waiting until labor day or black Friday, but is this a good deal for $1399? Would you jump on it?

What's the most cost-effective way (that isn't piracy) to watch 4K content on my new C6H?

I have a C6H coming on Monday and I’m trying to figure out the best, most cost-effective way to actually take advantage of the TV’s picture quality.

I have maybe 10–20 4K Blu-rays, and I’m assuming those will give me the highest possible fidelity. However, I don’t really have the money or space to keep building a large physical collection, at least for now. I checked my local library, but unfortunately they only lend DVDs.

I see Apple TV recommended a lot. I already own an Apple TV 4K, so I’m wondering if people mean the Apple TV hardware or the Apple TV streaming/rental service. I’m open to renting movies, but I’m not particularly interested in Apple’s original content.

For example, if I rent a movie that supports 4K Dolby Vision on Apple TV, say The Dark Knight, is it basically just a matter of renting it and watching, or are there settings I need to change to make sure I’m actually getting 4K + Dolby Vision? What happens with movies that don’t have a 4K/Dolby Vision version, especially older films? Does the Apple TV automatically give me the highest-quality version available?

More broadly, what do you guys recommend for getting the most out of a C6H without spending a fortune on physical media? I’m especially interested in the best bang-for-the-buck options for watching movies in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision, including rentals, streaming services, digital purchases, library options, etc.

I bought this TV primarily for gaming on my Switch 2 and because I want to start watching more movies at home. I currently have a tiny 50" TV, so I’ve generally preferred going to the theater rather than watching movies at home. With the C6H, I’m hoping the experience will be good enough that I’ll actually want to watch more movies at home.

I’d love to hear how other C6H/OLED owners approach this, especially if there are any cheap or overlooked ways to get high-quality 4K content.

65" at 10ft size upgrade. Is 83" too much of a jump?

Title pretty much.

Mostly use for 4k content (series/movies). Itching for a size upgrade. Anyone make this jump from 65" to 83" at similar viewing distance? How did it go?

I'm worried 83" might be too much of a jump than expected, as I've seen multiple mentions that 65 to 77 is a 40% increase in screen size which is more than I would have guessed.

Should I get this?

I know it’s the floor model but I figure the 5 year warranty should cover me in case it craps out. Would love to hear your thoughts, this will be my first oled if I get it.

Got my first oled tv (LG B5)

I am so happy with my oled and my tv choice.

After thinking about different models, for more brightness. Like the C series, i am glad i just went for the B series.

For my dark bedroom this tv is bright enough. Even a bit too bright. So i just put the brightness down a little.

LG OLED B5 55 inches

If some anime watchers have some good settings to make the colors pop, let me know!

I am currently using vivid picture mode.

AC black flag resynced looks stunning on my LG C6 48" Oled TV

After tweaking the HDR settings, this is the setup I’m currently using:

Game Optimizer: ON

HDR Tone Mapping: HGiG

Windows 11 HDR: ON

Windows HDR Calibration: Calibrated using the official HDR Calibration app

SDR Brightness: 50

VRR: ON

RGB: Full

Color Depth: 10-bit

The combination of HGiG + properly calibrated Windows HDR + VRR looks incredible. The image has excellent contrast, deep blacks, and bright highlights without looking overly processed.

Black Flag looks phenomenal on this 48" C6 OLED. 🤯🔥

I need a better soundbar. Can anyone recommend one?

I've got my 65" C6 set up in my bedroom with my Apple TV streaming device. I bought a JBL Cinema SB595 soundbar, but I think I can do better. It's okay but I don't like the way music sounds with it. What am I missing? Can anyone recommend something better? I don't mind spending more money.

LG G6 77" vs Samsung S95H 77" vs S95F 83" — picture quality vs extra size?

I'm trying to decide between three OLEDs:

LG G6 77" — new

Samsung S95H 77" — new

Samsung S95F 83" — used once

The G6 and S95H are essentially the same price, while the 83" S95F is around 37% less.

I previously had a 77" Samsung S90F WOLED (EU version) but wasn't particularly impressed with its brightness or colour punch. I'd previously seen a smaller QD-OLED S90F and found the colours noticeably richer and more vibrant.

My room gets a decent amount of daylight and my viewing distance is around 10.5 ft / 3.2m. Realistically, I'll mostly be watching SDR content during the daytime, with movies and gaming more towards the evening/night, so good SDR/daytime performance is quite important to me.

The G6 appeals because of its Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, high brightness including larger bright areas, Dolby Vision and 5-year panel warranty. From reviews, it seems LG has closed much of the gap to QD-OLED in colour performance while offering exceptional overall brightness.

The S95H (EU non-bezel version, not the S99H) appeals because it's QD-OLED, which should give me the higher saturated colour brightness/volume I felt was missing from my S90F WOLED.

The 83" S95F is tempting because it's around 37% less while giving roughly 16% more screen area. However, it uses Tandem WOLED rather than QD-OLED. I know it's considerably higher performance than the conventional WOLED in my old S90F, but I'm wondering whether I'd still miss the extra colour punch of QD-OLED.

I'm also unsure about Samsung's matte/Glare Free coating versus the more traditional glossy appearance of the G6. Reflections matter in my room, but so do perceived blacks, contrast and clarity. I've seen the G6 in person but haven't seen either Samsung.

Which would you choose for this usage: the larger and considerably cheaper 83" S95F, the G6 for its brightness/all-round picture quality, or the S95H for QD-OLED colour punch?

New LG C6 48 Showing "Product Already Registered in Another Account"

Hey guys, I need some sanity checking here because I feel confused with my new OLED.

I recently bought a brand-new 48" LG C6 (OLED48C6PLA) from an authorized LG Best Shop here in Bangalore, India.

When the first unit arrived, the box looked a bit worn down and the tape looked a little sus, like it double-taped at the bottom, the remote cover was not sealed but tied with a rubber band instead. The TV Unit itself seemed completely new with the film on the panel completely intact.

After completing the setup and logging with my gmail account for the LG Account Setup, I checked the watch hours which was 0 (not sure if this can be reset, LG Best Shop Executive and Technician told it can only be factory reset during manufacturing/testing and not by us).

However, when I went to the Accounts Page > Product Registration, it said "Your product is already registered in another account."

Both the LG Best Shop Executive and Technician said they have never seen this and nobody ever checks this page so they are unaware why it said so. They connected to their tech backend team and confirmed the TV was not registered anywhere and was brand new.

However, I was not satisfied and hence got the LG Best Shop Executive to send a replacement unit, which arrived directly from their warehouse after 2-3 hours.

The new unit's box was in a great shape and looked new and the tape's didn't look sus with this one and remote cover was perfectly intact and sealed. Similar to the previous unit, the TV unit inside also looked brand new with the film on the panel completely intact.

After following the same setup process and logging with a different gmail account to rule out any issues because of already logged in account, I checked the watch hours which were 0.

But, upon checking the Accounts Page > Product Registration, it said "Your product is already registered in another account." again with this replacement unit as well.

I was confused as hell on what should I do. I checked with the LG Best Shop Executive whether it can be returned and if I can get the refund. He denied but reassured that he double checked with the backend team and both the units have not been registered anywhere and were completely brand new. He was ready to send a 3rd replacement unit in case I was still not satisfied and said if I faced any issues with the unit he can always send a replacement as the TV has replacement policy till next 15 days.

Not sure what to do, I ran dead pixel tests and grayscale banding tests and results came out to be great, so I decided to keep it.

I doubted whether it was because logging in during the setup automatically registers the product but I didn't see any product registrations on my account so I am not sure if that was the case.

Has anyone else dealt with this specific registration issue on new units?

B6E vs B9?

I have a 65 inch B9 from 2019. It's beginning to show some very mild burn-in. Mild enough that it can easily function as a great off room tv, and still works as a main room tv, but enough that I can see it on some scenes and that I assume it will only get worse, leading me to consider replacing it.

My local Costco has 65 inch B6E on clearance for $1197 CAD. This seems like a really good deal to me, but I think the B6E is somewhat of a downgrade from the B6.

How does the B6E compare to the B9? Is this essentially the same tv but this year's model or is it better due to tech improvements? Or worse due to the lack of magic remote (and maybe other things)? Is this purchase worth it?

August 11 update broke CEC off with my sheild tv

As mentioned in the title, I have a 55inch B6E (2026 costco model). I mostly keep my tv offline but made the fatal mistake of updating to web os 26. The exact update is software version 43.21.45 dated august 11th. Ever since then my shield tv (2019) which is connected through my dennon receiver fails to turn off the TV and it just goes to a no signal screen instead. I can temporarily resolve this by physically unplugging the TV or rebooting the shield however this fix is very temporary and after a few minutes it reverts to not working. I have tried all the typical fixes unplugging re plugging everything power off for 30s etc etc nothing seems to fix it. CEC on the volume buttons all work fine its just CEC off that seems affected. Anyone else experiencing similar issues ?

Need recommendations for a soundbar

I plan on getting a LG C5 for a small entertainment room, roughly 9'x9'. If anyone has recommendations for an adequate sound system I would appreciate it.

Currently looking at the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar, will I need to pair a subwoofer?

LG M5 77 - OB with burn in: Should I keep it or return it?

I own 77 inch LG C9 (2019 model) with 5000 hours on it. Bright as new and sharp as ever just like new and no burn in. Wanted to buy my next tv for a bright room, so I was shopping for an LG G series but came across an Open Box Fair condition LG M5 77. First time I ever came across this. I got excited and brought home from a faraway/local Best Buy. Guy told me that it a display model with no burn in. Came home and hooked it up, tv has 3000 hours with severe Xbox logo burn in. I bought GeekSquad warranty as well. Should I simply return this?

What’s the Best Settings Guide for Movies & PS5?

Just got my C5 and was wondering what everyone’s favorite settings guide is for movies/streaming and PS5 gaming. There are so many of them on Youtube, and I don't really know much about TVs settings. Also, if it can include settings I need to change on PS5 as well, that would be awesome.

What 7,376 Hours of Panel Wear Looks Like

As mentioned in another post I’m replacing my 65” B9 that was purchased in 2019 due to delamination at the panel edges. This was my primary TV from 2019 until 2025 and has displayed 6 years of F1 races, IMSA races, WEC races, NFL games, NBA games, and MLB games totaling 7,376 hours. This is content with static timing and scoring and supposed to be a worst case scenario for OLED’s. It’s been years since I’ve done a burn in test and I have to say, I’m impressed with the panel wear. It’s a shame that it’s delaminating as the majority of the panel seems to be in excellent shape.

For those inquiring minds, the TV was set to cinema home set to 100% brightness. It was connected to an Apple TV running Dolby Vision. All burn-in mitigation settings are enabled.
