Benefits of a Pretreatment Saline Flush

1.5yrs in to doing HHD and about a month ago I began to feel super drained out, and fatigued with a pounding headache post session that I would always have to lay down and crash afterwards. Mentioned it to my nephrologist and she mentioned 2 options moving forward:

Swapping out the standard cartridge for a hypoallergenic option.
Start doing saline flushes of the filter pretreatment

I tried the 2nd option and I immediately noticed a huge difference. The symptoms mentioned above disappeared! 🤗

I now perform a pretreatment saline flush before each lyfealysis session and now I feel as one should after detoxing the blood for 3hrs.

Anyone else have this experience too?

My question is: why don’t they mention these options during training?? Options are good!

Back CVC after complications with the fistula

Back to CVC after complications with fistula.

The fistula has been compromised with stubborn hematomas, lots of pain and swelling and after a few attempts to cannulate - two times resulting in infiltration last week, the vascular surgeon wants me to rest it for 6weeks and to use the CVC access during this time 😮‍💨 This is a 1.5 years in to having it.
Anyone else have or is having a similar experience?
