Alabama needs elected representatives—not political appointees

Here's what's happening in Alabama: Decisions that affect our daily lives—from the Public Service Commission to local Boards of Registrars—are being made by people we never got to vote for. These aren't small positions. They make real choices about our utilities, our services, and how our communities run. And we're paying for it.

This isn't just frustrating—it's fundamentally wrong. We deserve a voice in choosing who makes decisions about our lives. I started a petition calling on Alabama's governing body to stop filling these seats through appointments and let Alabamians vote instead. We have the right to choose our representatives. That's how democracy is supposed to work.

If this feels wrong to you too, consider signing and sharing. Does anyone else feel like appointed positions for critical roles need to end? What's been your experience with decisions made by people you didn't get to vote for?

Huntsville District 3!

If any of y'all are from that neck of the woods, don't forget that you've got a special election today! Just under an hour until the polls close! Remember thoughts, prayers, and crossed fingers wont make change. VOTE!
