I have been interested in overlanding for years and I am finally getting the chance to do it. I am renting a rig early September and will be dispersed camping in Zion and Bryce for a few nights. I used OnX Maps and ioverlander to finds a few spots. We are sleeping inside a camper. Are there any precautions (other than building a fire, which is now prohibited) that we should know? Any advice for first time overlanders?

I am flying from Florida to Utah to rent a rig to go dispersed camping. I don't want to check in any bags. Is there a way to deliver items I need such as a hand saw, hatchet, pocket knife, multi-tool, pliers, thermacell, bear spray and fire starters to the area that I am going so that I can pick them up when I arrive? Has anyone done this before? TIA

I am planning a camping trip in Utah the first week of September somewhere in the Uinta Mountains. i've read the bugs have been real bad this year out west. Does anyone have information on whether there are mosquitos/bugs in mid to late September still? TIA

Are there awning systems for campervans where the awning wraps around the back and sides of the camper van, such as in the picture? Either for a Transit or Sprinter?? TIA

I am considering purchasing a pickup truck and a RTT (and accouterments) but before I make the investment I want to make sure it is something I can do on my own and something I really want to do. Therefore the idea of renting one came to mind. The idea is to rent a rig that is fully self-supporting. sleeping, cooking and showering. I am located in South Florida but will travel anywhere in the continental USA to rent one for 4-5 days.
