Disperse camping

We will be in Utah next week. My question is, we desperse camp. I was wondering if it is safe to leave my tent up while we go out exploring the area. I will leave the tent only to keep our spot. We'll it be safe. I've not had a problem here in Washington State, leaving the tent up

Moving a vehicle

Looking into doing a long loop in the High Unitas in August and was wondering if anyone is in the area willing to move a car for some cash. Or if you know of a service that offers this.

Possible route: from Chepeta lake TH to West Forks TH

Good place to car camp and see the stars in Utah?

Friends are coming to visit for a few days and want to go see the stars in one of the low light pollution areas around Utah. Was looking at Capitol Reef or Canyonlands but never went dispersed camping so could use some advice. We won't be able to load gear up and hike from a trailhead really because they won't have much gear so hoping to find a nice open and fairly isolated spot. Capitol Reef would be ideal because it's a bit closer but if Canyonlands has better spots for such a thing definitely open to more driving. Any other general advice greatly apprecieated!

Backpacking Around Memorial Day

Hi all!

My sister and I are hoping to do a short 2-3 night backpacking trip right after Memorial Day and I’m wondering where the best place to go would be. We were thinking Uintahs initially (cuberant/red castle something like that) but I’m a little worried about weather and snow pack. Intuitively I’d think May would be a bit too early but with the super low snow year I’m wondering if it might work out ok. If not I’d love suggestions on where else to try and any other feedback thanks!

Hunting deer in Utah

Hello! I'm a female youth hunter, and after not drawing anything in my home state for the last three years, I decided to put in for Utah this season. I ended up drawing a deer tag for the Chalk Creek area!
Since this is my first time ever putting in for Utah, I'd really appreciate any advice or information about the area. I'd love to hear about the terrain, deer movement patterns, good areas to glass, camping spots, road access, weather conditions, or anything else that might help make the hunt successful.
I'm really excited for the opportunity and thankful for any tips or insight from people familiar with the unit. Thanks in advance!

Escalante River in Escalante

Hey there, we're considering Escalante for a camping trip over the 4th of July. But if we're going to go there midsummer I want to know there's lots of water play.

Is the Escalante River one prone to drying up in the summer or would our week winter result in really low flow? or is it one that should be running all summer no matter what.

thanks!

Camping spot

Hello everyone, I’m looking to see if anyone knows of a spot I can drive to and camp out in the mountains for the weekend. I’m asking because I don’t know much about the mountain roads, the only spots I know of don’t open u til memorial weekend and I know there’s more out there I just don’t know how to get there 😅 thanks!
