Here come the down votes lol

**RANT about MY site**

I swear some managers are just on a power trip. Long story short I had really long hair that kept giving me tension migraines. And those were painful. So I cut it. Its at most an inch past my shoulder. And that means when I put it up, it falls out because its SHORT. I do half up, half down and saftey has seen me several times and not a word, warning, or write up.

Anyway, a manager comes up to me and tells me my hair needs to be above my shoulder. I told him that its going to fall out of my ponytail but ill try. He did this weird pouty face and said to just try. And guess what happened... it just fell out of my pony tail lol. Anyway, the kicker is that he was walking next to a woman with longer hair than me and her hair was below her shoulder. But I guess these rules only apply to non management employees huh... not to mention the countless times ive seen them on their phone while walking on the green line. So what happened to lead by example?

Anyway. Thats my rant.

Why isnt this a thing or is it?

I was looking for my next trail on the alltrails app and as I read through the reviews I thought about how cool it would be if alltrails had a feature where people could join local community forums. Or even have the ability to connect with others. I feel like the older I get the harder its getting to meet people naturally. Whether thats for platonic or romantic relationships.

Idk, am I the only one that would find this useful?

Anyone else feeling this way?

Lately I have been so busy with life that I barely have time for myself. My free time goes to cleaning, cooking, and taking care of my fur baby.

Yet lately when there are moments of peace and im at a stand still, I feel how lonely I am. I lost basically my close friends. I have friends I talk to from time to time but we never hang out. Im not close to my family. I dont know, I usually love being alone. But for some reason ive been craving connection. Preferably with a partner. I just dont have much time for it. I dont know... its a strange feeling.

Anyone else dealing with this?

Not sure if this is the right place for this

Don't know what else to do.

I had to take the 4th day off from work because ive been dealing with chronic insomnia. I cant afford it but im light headed, my brain feels like it burns, and my joints ache. Im not old. Im just exhausted. I got sleep today but I had to take medication for me to sleep. And if youve taken trazodone then you know how groggy it makes you feel. A few hours of sleep doesnt make months of sleep deprivation better. I cant go to urgent care because, what will they do? I also cant afford it. No insurance either.

I made a doctor's appointment but ill have to suffer until then. I dont know why I can't sleep. Its been every day for the past 3 months. Before then it came in waves. But it never lasted this long. Im so tired. I had to leave work today because I was losing my balance and my joints are aching. I feel like a failure for not being tough and just pushing through. But I know that thats what ive been doing everyday since I started dealing with this again.

No, I dont have a support system either. No one to talk to about this. Maybe ill return to therapy. But im tired of talking about things. Because nothing changes. Meaning, I still deal with insomnia.

Im going home. I probably wont sleep again but at least I wont physically get hurt.

A new mental anchor for my insomnia

I felt unsafe before in the environment I was living in. I was surrounded by people that made my anxiety worse.

Now that im away from most of it. I have found a new source of food for my insomnia. I feel trapped.

I find myself stuck in the same boring routine. Work, school, gym, sleep, and repeat. On the very minimal and rare time that I have free, I spend it maintaining my home, tending to my fur baby, and self care... which isnt self care at this point. Because my self care has become allowing myself to lay in bed for maybe 2 hours out of the 7 days. Im stuck and I cant just call it quits because then id be throwing away years of hard work and time invested into a career that, if im being honest with myself, I dont care for. I just need a stable job that doesnt completely suck or kill my body fast. Realistically, I need a good wage to survive in this economy. I dont feel passionate about anything to make it my job. Anyone else feel that way?

I daydream about adventuring. To be free. But also want to be smart about my future. I want to be stable. So I stay stuck. Especially in this loop of stress -> anxiety -> insomnia. I cant seem to break it. Add on top of all that, doing it alone. I have no friends anymore. Different story. And yes ive tried asking for help but I guess in my case people havent wanted to.

Will i ever sleep like a normal person? I doubt it. Ive been dealing with insomnia since Jr high. Doctors dont take me seriously. Therapy didnt work. Did it for three years. Im out of ideas.

Just needed to vent since Im struggling to sleep for the 2nd month. ( i get maybe 2 -5 hrs if im lucky)

Back to square one

My insomnia was improving after I moved out, started therapy, and cut off people that were causing me stress or anxiety. For the first few months I was eating healthy, I was exercising, and overall felt good. Then I started school. Im dealing with anxiety and stress again. It feels like I barely have time to breathe. Im gaining weight again. I have zero energy to make food so im surviving off of sandwiches and fast meals like pasta and tomato sauce. Ive been struggling to sleep. Its 3 weeks of insomnia and one week of maybe good sleep or good enough sleep. I have to take trodazone or zzzquil. Sometimes, and I dont suggest this to anyone, I take both because its that difficult to sleep.

Anwyay, do any of yall have advice on losing weight or having yhe energy to exercise or eat healthy when dealing with insomnia? I dont drink caffeine and I won't.

Advice please!

How hard will it be?

Some context: I have always struggled with finding bottoms that fit me right. Everything is primarily high waisted and it just looks ugly on my body. I also have a 30" inseam and typically go for 32" inseam. Most inseam for women is 26-28".

I was wondering how difficult would it be for a complete noobie to sew something like sweatpants for the first time? What would i need?

I want to use a cotton blend. I hate fleece or polyester (when its the dominant blend).

Anyway, if yall have any tips or if you know any retailers, brands, etc. I do have a budget and thats why I cant afford getting them customized by a professional

Would it be tacky?

I live alone and my walls are empty. Ive been wanting to add frames of pictures and possibly art. I love to draw but I havent been doing it often. I thought maybe I could kill to birds with one stone by creating something I could display on my living room wall. Except im not sure if that would be tacky to have my own art on display. Is that maybe just a me thing? I dont know.

Let me know your thoughts?

I matched with a guy on a dating app and im so confused by him.

He asks questions and is trying to go on a date but he replies once every 24 hours. The most he's taken is 2 days. His replies are lengthy.

Ive never had someone take a full day to reply. So I cant tell if he's genuinely busy or if hes not that interested in me. Lets be real, everyone goes on their phone. He's admitted to doom scrolling. Am I a place holder?

Im curious what yall think?

I matched with a man and since the start this person has messaged me once a day. Sometimes once every two days. This isnt a dynamic im used to. I understand adults have their responsibilities but we can all spare a minute or two to reply to people you say youre interested in. I highly doubt anyone is that busy. I also understand the situation is new and we havent gone on a date yet. But I really don't know if hes actually interested or if im just being put in the wait list until its my turn. Or maybe im overthinking it and hes just busy with life duties.

He asks me questions and continues the conversation. Even asked about my schedule but like I said, he takes at least 24 hours to reply.

Im the type of person that will lose interest in someone if I feel like im not getting the same energy and effort I give.

Am I misunderstanding him?

Do i need to relax? Lol I know i can be a bit impatient. I just hate wasting my time.

Long story short, I was in an auto collision where i was not at fault. I got whip lash, my pelvis got misaligned, and I got a herniated disc in my lower back. I got an ESI but it didnt help my pain or improve my injury. I saw a neurosurgeon and I was deemed surgical. I am scared to get the surgery because its in a sensitive area and the previous procedure didnt help.

My lawyer is fighting to get the other insurance to give a good settlement. Heres where I dont know if my legal representation is on my side or on their own. The paralegal made it sound like they wanted me to accept 8k. They did not disclose whether my surgery would be paid aside from the 8k or if itll be just that. If I get the surgery in the future, it costs about 20-40k in my state.

I told them that was low. And I thought a fair number to start with would be 25k. Ive had to deal with so much pain and mental stress because of this accident.

Do yall think im being unreasonable or reasonable in asking for 25k?
