I matched with a guy on a dating app and im so confused by him.

He asks questions and is trying to go on a date but he replies once every 24 hours. The most he's taken is 2 days. His replies are lengthy.

Ive never had someone take a full day to reply. So I cant tell if he's genuinely busy or if hes not that interested in me. Lets be real, everyone goes on their phone. He's admitted to doom scrolling. Am I a place holder?

Im curious what yall think?

I matched with a man and since the start this person has messaged me once a day. Sometimes once every two days. This isnt a dynamic im used to. I understand adults have their responsibilities but we can all spare a minute or two to reply to people you say youre interested in. I highly doubt anyone is that busy. I also understand the situation is new and we havent gone on a date yet. But I really don't know if hes actually interested or if im just being put in the wait list until its my turn. Or maybe im overthinking it and hes just busy with life duties.

He asks me questions and continues the conversation. Even asked about my schedule but like I said, he takes at least 24 hours to reply.

Im the type of person that will lose interest in someone if I feel like im not getting the same energy and effort I give.

Am I misunderstanding him?

Do i need to relax? Lol I know i can be a bit impatient. I just hate wasting my time.

Long story short, I was in an auto collision where i was not at fault. I got whip lash, my pelvis got misaligned, and I got a herniated disc in my lower back. I got an ESI but it didnt help my pain or improve my injury. I saw a neurosurgeon and I was deemed surgical. I am scared to get the surgery because its in a sensitive area and the previous procedure didnt help.

My lawyer is fighting to get the other insurance to give a good settlement. Heres where I dont know if my legal representation is on my side or on their own. The paralegal made it sound like they wanted me to accept 8k. They did not disclose whether my surgery would be paid aside from the 8k or if itll be just that. If I get the surgery in the future, it costs about 20-40k in my state.

I told them that was low. And I thought a fair number to start with would be 25k. Ive had to deal with so much pain and mental stress because of this accident.

Do yall think im being unreasonable or reasonable in asking for 25k?
