Dispersed camping in Navajo Lake

Heading up to Navajo Lake in Dixie National Forest this week for a few nights to camp, gonna hit some surrounding areas too. I plan on camping somewhere that I can pull the truck right up to.

Does anyone have a pin they could share for a good dispersed camping site? Any recommendations where to look/not look?

30M - looking for friends in Christ

I’m really just looking for brothers and sisters in Christ. I attend church but I keep to myself, so I don’t approach anyone. It does not matter where you are in your walk with God, I would love to be friends with anyone. I’m relatively new myself, only finding faith in Christ within the last 2 years so I’m still learning to navigate it, although I suppose we never stop learning.

A little about me and then I’ll be done, I’m 30, I live in the Southwest, PST timezone. I still live with my parents, I didn’t have my head on straight in my early and mid 20s but I finally figured things out a few years ago however late last year I lost my job and things got worse from there. I did finally get a new job tho! And I start in a few weeks. I used to play video games a lot but haven’t been lately, only Sims 4 occasionally. I love memes, music, movies & shows. I enjoy cooking. I am quite a bit of a homebody altho I love nature, fishing, getting into camping, and I’m into firearms. I like architecture and interior design, a little bit of psychology, and most importantly, I love sharks 🦈

I’m easygoing, I can be pretty silly once I’m comfortable with you, I love banter but also deep conversations, I do still have a dark sense of humor altho I don’t rely on that, and I can be a shoulder for you to lay on whenever you need.

Reach out if I sound at all interesting. Either way, I hope you have a great day/night!

30 year old introverted Christian looking for a Christian friend

As the title says, I'm 30, male, and looking to make a local friend. Friendship does not come easy for me. The few close friends I've had have mostly been long-distance, and those friendships unfortunately tend to die down over time. Soo, I'm hoping to change that and meet someone here in Vegas.

That isn't to say I'm bad at being a friend, I just have trouble making them. I'd consider myself pretty easygoing and soft-hearted, and I try my best to be selfless and care about the people in my life. I'm definitely introverted and keep to myself, although I can be extroverted when necessary.

I'm looking to meet another Christian. My faith is important to me. I've only come into it within the last two years but it is growing and I'm learning to navigate it. I haven't been to church in a few months, however I do plan on returning this Sunday. It would be cool to have a friend to attend church with, and we could also have our own Bible studies, talk about our faith, and keep each other accountable. I don't have everything figured out so I don't expect you to either.

If we hit it off, I can be pretty silly off the bat. I love banter, memes, and making others laugh. I do have a dark sense of humor, but I promise that's not my only source of material lol. On the other side of that, I really enjoy deep conversations and I will genuinely listen and be a shoulder to lean on when you need one.

As far as interests go, I'm quite a bit of a homebody, although I do enjoy getting out of the house. I like grabbing food, going to museums, occasionally going to the movie theatre, going on drives, taking road trips, and being outdoors. Which speaking of, I am actually going camping for the first time next week.

I also enjoy gaming (PC), although I have hardly been playing anything lately, so maybe you can change that. I listen to music pretty often and love watching movies and shows. Some of my other interests include architecture, film photography, history, interior design, psychology, and about a dozen other random things. I like going shooting as well, so if you do too that's great and if not, I'd be more than happy to take you. And if you couldn't tell, I am very much into sharks 🦈

I'm not looking for a huge social circle or anything, I'd much rather just have one good friend I click with.

If any of this sounds like you, or you're another introvert wondering how adults are supposed to make friends, feel free to reach out.

Thoughts on this trip?

Planning on this for next week, I start a job the following week and want to experience something I never have before, which is camping. I know the trip is a lot for someone who has never camped but I'm comfortable with being outside of my comfort zone.

I planned the following route, which is throughout Utah and I'm wanting to get others thoughts on it. I plan on 6 days, 5 nights, driving to the next location in the morning and spending the day enjoying life.
I'm planning on fishing, swimming, short hikes, and visiting nearby landmarks and towns.

Henderson → Navajo Lake → Gooseberry Reservoir → Fish Lake → Boulder Mountain → Tropic Reservoir
→ Henderson

I'll be solo and driving a 2018 Chevy Colorado V6.
I'm planning a mix of established/dispersed camping. I'll have offline maps and plenty of water/ food, recovery gear, first aid, and emergency supplies.

Since this will be my first time camping, I'd appreciate thoughts on the route, good camping areas around these locations, road/access conditions, things I might not think to bring, and anything a first timer doing a trip like this should know.

Loafers okay for an interview at a bank?

Are these loafers okay, or would the boots be more professional. Or something entirely different? If it matters, I feel much more comfortable in the loafers. Interview is for an analyst position at a bank.

Beard okay in banking?

This may be a non issue but I have an interview for an analyst position on Monday at a local branch of a regional bank. I have a beard that I keep short (about 3/8s) and tidy. Is this okay? Or should I be clean shaven?

Which handguard?

Regarding the light extending past the muzzle, it will be suppressed 24/7

Previous employer was sued (and lost) by FTC, will this hurt me trying to get into fraud analysis (or similar)?

I am trying to transition into fraud or risk analysis, I have 2 years of transferable experience and a bachelors in Criminal Justice but am wondering if it's even worth attempting based on what happened at my previous employer.

They were sued by the FTC for deceptive practices and lost which resulted in them closing doors. No, I was not aware of what was going on and neither were a lot of others, the owners had their hands in some weird stuff.

Does this 100% eliminate my chances at getting into an entry level role, either in banking or another industry that has fraud analyst positions.

EDIT: not strictly fraud analyst/aml positions, but risk, credit, compliance, etc.

Disappointed in PSI

I passed Part 1 today, went to schedule Part 3 only to be left with disappointment that there is no more remote testing available and the general lack of available testing centers. Closest one is 4 and a half hours away. I have one in my city but they don't administer the SEE, I called the number listed on the PSI IRS portal to see if I could request for them to and the agent was extremely unhelpful, telling me there's no way to (which I get, but c'mon), also stating that they "might or might not" open more remote testing in September.

[8, Unemployed, Fraud Analyst, US]

Hello

I've been out of work for 9 months, been looking for Deal Desk and similar positions but I haven't had any luck and I thought my skills might be transferable to fraud. I only started applying 2 days ago to fraud analyst roles, so I haven't heard anything back yet but I would appreciate some feedback on my resume itself and whether I'd even be a good fit if anyone here is in the industry.

Thank you in advance

Downsizing. What two to keep? What to rearrange?

Main reason being that I could use the extra money since the job market is buttcheeks right now and I’ve been out of a job for 9 months.

I will be keeping the stripped lowers, probably will sell the furniture too.

In order of appearance from left to right.

Aero upper and lower, 11.5” BA Hanson barrel

BAD lower with a Colt 14.5” upper (I really don’t want to let this go)

PSA 16” with a 1-8

RRA 16” mid length with a FSB (I really don’t want to let this go either, it’s my KISS rifle 😓)

Lastly, PSA again, 20”, build is kind of self explanatory

—-

I am planning on keeping the Aero, I built it, both upper and lower and have seen it go through many many rounds so there is sentimental value there and it does well by me. I’m likely going to replace the handguard on it for a LDRC that I have tho. I was also thinking about throwing the LPVO on that and selling the EOTech and magnifier

I really would like to keep one other AR, but I’m torn on which so I would appreciate any thoughts y’all might have
