Still telling myself there is so much I still dont have....looking at the bank account doesnt fix it

New AR15 owner I have a 16” PSA AR15 and have gone shooting twice and both times noticed these orange-ish bits around the bench and on me. Took my rifle apart today to clean and lube and saw more mostly on my BCG. Range ammo I’m using is Winchester 5.56 55 gr FMJ

I prefer the acog because of its familiarity but I know trijicon has some cooler stuff like the ta47 which I’m less familiar with. Limited space on the rail so I’m leaning to either red dot or holo, something simple and fun at the range.

Newer colt upper and barrel, p&s hand guard, poverty pony lower, magpul stock. I built this rifle as a gift for him for his 21st bday back in April.

Edit: budget is around $800. Open to any suggestion though, lucrative summer.

Always wanted to build one from top to bottom myself, but honestly I didn’t realize how easy it was. Glad I stopped waiting. Did it slowly & waited for sales for everything over the last year. Only a little over $3k in the set up.

Just noticed this after the 2nd cleaning, (300 rounds) yall think it’s fine or do I need to source a new upper? It’s a colt upper with a geissele BCG. There doesn’t appear to be any wear on the bcg cam pin. Tempted to just file the dent smooth with a jewel file.

Rate my setup! Should’ve went with the polo k as the standard polo feels a bit too long. It’s my first can so I wanted to use it with other calibers lol. I plan on swapping out the Holosun for something else, any recommendations?

Went and picked up my silencer today. EchoCore Sector Compact. Just put it on. I’ll go to the range tomorrow and play with it. Can’t wait. Full build is in a previous post if anybody is interested in what all I have here, but it’s got a lot of stuff done to it.
