A chunky porcupine I got a few pictures of a week or so ago. Just hanging out by the campground. Always fun to see these guys.

A beautiful and rather large GBR I came across last month. Hanging out by a spring in Utah's west desert. I never get tired of finding and photographing these guys.

Not uncommon, but I'm always happy to find some gopher snakes. Here's a handful I've found road cruising this year. Always funny to me how variable the attitude can be with these guys. Either as chill as can be, or complete lunatics. All are great basin gopher snakes (pituophis catenifer deserticola) West desert Utah.

Really unexpected find back in June. Found this tiger salamander crossing the road. First adult I've ever seen in the wild, I see them in their larvae stage quite often. Western Uinta mountains Utah.

Photographed back in April. Snow canyon state park Utah. He was buzzing around enjoying a small sprinkler running by the visitor center. Landed just long enough for me to snap a picture of him.
