Rough Green Snake?

This beauty decided to make an appearance during our Wednesday evening youth church service. Thankfully I was able to get it outside before any of the kids could harm it and safely relocate it. Location is about an hour NW of Houston, Tx. I’m thinking rough green snake but honestly don’t know. My Texas snake ID abilities are more focused on the venomous ones.

Found a couple beautiful red milk snakes

Found in southern Illinois, under opposite corners of plywood. The largest calm species of wild snake I ever find in this area. Similar to a prairie ring neck in temperament.. but so much bigger.

my street is busy and people drive fast and crazy, so glad i was able to help them across! the forest is right there on the side they were headed to and when i drove back by a bit later they were gone :)

Northern Alligator Lizard

My kid found this lizard in our backyard. He told me it as an alligator lizard. He got lucky today seeing one of the pond frogs, new tadpoles swimming around, and catching this guy on top of finding a tomato hornworm and a snail in the garden.

I FINALLY FOUND ONE!!!! AHHH I'M SO HAPPY!!!

So some context! I live in the coastal mountains of California, and there's a few ponds scattered on the property. I constantly have been hearing frogs, but could never see the frogs despite all my attempts. A while back I found a tadpole in one of the fountains right outside our door. It had been a while since I saw him, so I decided to go back and check. I couldn't find it the last couple days and got really disappointed.

Thought I'd check one final time and I found this guy!!!!!!!! IM SO FREAKING HAPPY 😭
