i really enjoy drawing trout. anyone else here do some sorta creative thing surrounding your catch? i mean surely we all take a sec to admire them right? this i think is one way to process the ephemeral nature of fishing.. theyre there, theyre gone. theyre on, you land it, theyre beautiful AND delicious, but only for so long..
*this drawing is my flat take on a cutty usually thered be a little more flavor in the positioning/composish but this one i just drew 2-d to fully dial in on color blending. i think it turned out pretty nice! and im a hermit currently so this was my best option to show off 🥹
**last pic is what i had handy now in ye ole reddit photo album with an actual fish lol. no trout pix right now sadly, but figured id include proof that i do indeed fish ffs 🥰 (pic is of my first ever salmon. a fall run chinook off the columbia from some years ago. one of the best days of my life for sure. BUT.. fact is, the alpine golden trout in granite pools of the sierras.. so high up that you barf on your way there.. will take the cake every time)
