Son Pr’d twice this week
It took me a while to get him into trout, but I think he’s coming around quickly. After he caught the PR today he said “ man there really isn’t a more beautiful fish”. I felt I’d done something right after that🤣.
South eastern Minnesota
18 and 20 inch. Nothing crazy big but he was jacked.
Pellet imitation lure?
The Jackall Timon Deka Bung is freaking.... I dunno what to say... I'm imitating trout pellet feed that the trout eat at the hatchery! And it catches em!
FINALLY (Brown trout story)
Drove over 15 hours to the eastern sierras in high hopes of landing a nice brown. My pops and I rented a pontoon boat 3 weeks in advance (biggest mistake ever). The day of… the lake was the windiest it’s been all year, white caps were in full fledge. We couldn’t even troll for the big fish opportunities. Most fish were 30-40 feet deep. And it was impossible to find them. Ended up seeking refuge in a cove and caught Sacramento perch all day long. No brown. The day after, I realized I lost my lucky chrome hearts ring that meant the world to me, I’d kill for that ring. I left it at the lake, by the cleaning station, in the bathroom on the soap dispenser. I was distraught, sad, so mad at myself I just wanted to go home. My dad told me to call the lake and ask if they found a ring. I fished all day the next day heard nothing from the lake, and I lost a nice red cutthroat fly fishing. The fishing gods at this point were surely FU***** with me. That next morning, my dad and I were fishing June lakes loop, we didn’t even fish for 5 minutes when the lake called my dad asking me to describe my ring. They found it, right where I left it. We packed up and instantly drove the 45 minutes. My dad was saying that we might as well fish off of this point since we were going all that way back out there. I got my lucky ring, put on a simple eggsinker setup with inflatable nightcrawler, and within minutes I catch this bad boy. I’m writing this story to whoever wants to read it. I guess the moral of my story is never lose hope, things can turn around so quickly in life and it’s not just fishing. Within 24 hours I wanted to go home and never do a trip like this again, to never wanting to leave. All I can thank is god for keeping my ring safe and returning it back to me. The brown trout was just the cherry on top. Tight lines everyone and Godspeed ❤️
What are these rainbows doing?
I’m assuming this is part of spawning but I’ve never seen anything like it.
Possibly my PB not sure tho!
One of the top I’ve caught. Blooody hands they were mad pissed cuz they had just got stocked the day before. I gotta get better at humanely dispatching them. Crappie magnets for the win again!!!
First decent rainbow
Don't worry she was only outta the water for the length of this video no longer. Caught on a worm 4lbs line UL rod. Only been fishing trout for a little bit here but I'm having a lot of fun!
