In my MW universe, this is one of my bookshops!

MASSIVE floor to ceiling, books forever! you can easily spend your whole dream here looking for stuff!

Although in my version there are another set of escalators going down underneath the bookstore which opens up into a huge open food court and more shops. (I do not feel like this store is directly in or attached to the Mall though.)

The Beige Hotel

The hotel with all the endless stairs, hallways, elevators and confusing carpark.

The Hotel I work at in my dreams.

This is my MW dream world hotel that I work in and also live in occasionally.

It can be a happy place but also a slightly stressful one as well.

I'm the manager here in my dreams so I spend a lot of my dream running around fixing various problems. I am also sometimes a guest so I get to enjoy the venue also.

It's open, fresh, lively, happy, with lots of greenery and water, wooden doors, the sound of birds and waves......everything is surrounded by water. There are a variety of shops within the hotel as well as multiple restaurants and night life options available. There is a walkway that leads from the hotel to an incredible indoor/outdoor food market, with stalls, food tasting, restaurants, cafes and music, fairy lights strung up in the night sky. There is also a book shop and ocean side Art Gallery which I love!

I'm not 100% sure exactly where this hotel is with my dream world......I feel like it's somewhere along the "coast"

It has a completely different vibe to the Red Hotel. I've always felt like the Red hotel was somewhere within the City.

Ive had recurring nightmares about a Red Hotel since I was younger

I have had recurring nightmares about a red hotel since I was younger. And the feeling I get there is not a good one. In fact when I did a Google search and saw these images my eyeballs and jaw dropped to the floor......instant chills down my spine and the hairs raised along my arms and neck.....I know this place well.

Image 2 in particular I always see people either dressed in ballroom attire, cloaks and masks or sometimes business wear. There is a balcony above and I'm always standing looking down at all the people........during my entire dream I am being looked after, prepped and preened, treated well ect ect....but once I get to this room I get the horrible overwhelming sense that I am either being bid on, sacrificed, purchased or becoming part of a sinister game.....I don't know but I Instantly get the feeling that I need to get the fuck out no matter what!!

My dream usually kicks up a few notches by this point!

Image 3 stair cases in the hotel for guests.

Image 4 that fricken lift (scary)

Image 5 & 6 service stairs (scary)

Image 7 is the service hallway I always run down to which leads to a garbage area, behind that is giant hills which overlook a fence and vacant land..... I'm usually running for my life and being chased and shot at by this point.. (terrifying)

Image 8&9 are the upper attic lever stairs that are confusing and feel never ending. (Scary)

The Red Hotel = I am about to have a shit night in my dreams

What is going on!? How can this be?!?

I am very curious about the other places within Mallworld. After only finding out about this 24hrs ago, my mind is in meltdown mode. How can other people be dreaming about the exact same places and experiences that I have been dream visiting for the last 38yrs or more!?!

Are we all connected somehow?

Has anyone recognized anyone else since joining this thread?? My MallWorld has expanded greatly over the years, I visit so often that I know each place intimately and would love to talk with whoever I can about all of this (In all my recent panic I posted here yesterday about the main places I visit in my dream world to see if anyone has experienced similar.)

BUT...One thing that has absolutely floored me, is that one location I've been visiting within my MallWorld is actually real!!!!!

I have never been to this place physically in my real life, I did not know that this place even existed but yet apparently I've been going here for years in my dreams!!!

Within my mall world, from a young age, I have been visiting a place that I always affectionately referred to as "Holiday Harbour" To get to Holiday Harbour you have to travel for awhile and you use the floating water bridge for some of it. As you get closer to your destination you will see tall carved sandstone walls on either side of the road, on the left hand side there is a turn off and you will find the big indoor/outdoor trash and treasure/farmers markets....this place has amazing food, endless stalls, music and vendors. It's also famous for the night markets. Usually the first thing you see as you enter "Holiday Harbour" is the Cove. it looks like it wraps around for ever. I have also never experienced a rainy day while staying here. The atmosphere and people I interact with while I'm there feel happy and relaxed as well.

Last night I was looking for photos on Google for reference and lo and behold this place pops up during my "image doom scroll"

WELL!! My head almost blew right off!! I've never been to Sydney Australia EVER!!!! But apparently I know Mosman, Balmoral Beach and Rocky point Island very well from my dream world......what the actual f$&k!!!!

WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?

I am desperate for more information!!!

I've walked along this promenade and been around this place in my dreams so many times over the years......I've had amazing food, sensational morning coffee walks, I've watched some amazing sunsets and sun rises, copious amounts of walks with my dog, romantic slow dances in the moon light, amazing first, second and third kisses, deep love with someone I met there......I've been devastated here, I've hidden for my safety here, I've escaped to here in darkness, I've had my purse stolen here in broad daylight and night time, ive been a witness to someone dying, I've left desperate notes on walls............so I could not for the life of me understand how this place was actually real. I'm actually having a little trouble processing it all.

Pics I found online for reference

Ps: last time I was here in my dream, I left for my holiday in the morning and stopped off at the markets for provisions on the way to Holiday Harbour. Then I was walking along the promenade/esplanade (where the white building is in pics) Wearing a light yellow sundress, gold mirror tinted Ray-bans, eating an ice cream cone and watching the water with my dog......... then I went across the bridge (which is longer than pictured) to the island in the afternoon with 12 other people who I didn't know but we had a great day. until of course, we had to go back over the bridge, the sea was the same level as the bridge, the water was choppy and it made it a quite difficult getting back to the mainland.........I accidentally left the hat I bought at the markets on a park bench under a tree on the island...it was a nice hat too LOL!

Have just found out about MallWorld and I'm a little rattled!!

I've been having these dreams very repetitively since I was a kid. Always the same places but different types of experiences during visits. But up until yesterday, I had absolutely no idea anyone else was having scarily similar experiences to my dream world.

Now I want to go down the Rabbit hole of Mall world and it's extensions! Can someone please guide me in the best direction to start my deep dive?

I am so familiar with my version of "Mall world" and all it's separate attached extensions that I can map it out in every detail.

Apologies, I'm just rambling off things as I remember them as I'm still very shocked...... These are the places I visit frequently:

Tsunami Beach which has the "ledge/cliff face", the Pier Boardwalk that has the giant rock sea wall and sometimes the waves get scary high..not quite tsunami high, but its all very unnerving. The waves hit the boardwalk, restaurants and residents.

the Mall ( which is rounded soft pink marble nothing in the mall is angular, sky light, plants, soft lighting, soft background music and many floors although I've never actually noticed how many levels there actually is here. There is a big escalator right in the middle of the main entrance), the outdoor carpark, the never ending indoor carpark with the elevator, the top of this indoor carpark is attached to a kind boardwalk bridge that leads to another entrance of the mall...usually the cinema and department store ( the basement of this carpark has one of the disgusting toilet blocks)

the old library, the book store (both beautiful and feel safe. Two places which I visit frequently, I actually host book readings at the book store. The last one I did was the Velveteen Rabbit), the strange exotic pet shop i always feel oddly drawn too....I don't always get a good feeling from it although I have purchased animals from them in the past. (this pet shop also sometimes expands into the underground market) , the music shop (gigantic sanity music but better with records and hard to find stuff), the downstairs food court that never seems to have anything available for some reason or you have to wait while they get it ready the food court has lots of plants and tall vertical marble beams around , a door is off to the right hand side just before a white corridor off of the food court which opens into a concrete "grandstand" for people to sit and eat with a view of the ocean/giant aquarium, the underground market, the other underground "laneway" with a couple of old cafes ( all white and red brick arch work with lots of hanging plants and light , these cafe places are nice and feel safe love visiting here, the old man who owns the cafe is the best) there is a hair salon, news agency and key cutter/shoe repair and a Taylor down this laneway the old gigantic redbrick department store upstairs lots of redbrick arch work here as well (always feel a sense of unease here), the bad weird gross toilet blocks with old cream brick w/ faded red doors, the rare super fancy toilets the doors tall floor to ceiling w/white with gold trim and dark jade/teal carpet flooring with an indoor white marble water fountain in the hallway. (Picture a super fancy vintage powder room)

The "all white" museum and art gallery (think MOMA) that is always closed because it's setting up for an exhibition,( I always sneak in while it's closed and look at what they have) the old cinema, the huge outdoor markets, the giant haunted house with lots of different rooms, staircases or hallways that go nowhere, some are shaped strangly. it feels like being stuck in a maze........ and the older female entity in that house she is always in the first main room on your left as your walk into the house. There is usually a staircase on the right. (she scares me and feel very unsafe with her)

the clear highway that goes over the ocean that has sharks, orca, dolphins swimming around and occasionally hit the bridge. The other strange wavy bridge that somehow floats on water, and sometimes even goes underwater (hate this) I travel these bridges sometimes on my way to the pier board walk or Tsunami beach.

The airport that you take an escalator to one of the higher levels and suddenly you in the airport terminal.........I've never actually left via the airport though. I'm always trying to find my ticket, find my luggage or waiting in security before boarding πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ the place is overwhelmingly massive! There is also a separate airport carpark!!

The big fancy Hotel with the indoor lake with gorgeous little foot bridges, indoor trees and birds...it looks like a beautiful romantic village almost...(which I've dream worked in as a Manager forever ) yes I have a job within MallWorld πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ, apparently I have to work in my dreams also lol!! There are other hotels within Mall world, some are not so nice feeling. I've been to a couple that have scared the absolute poop out of me!! (Including the old vintage/gothic red hotel πŸ˜– the red hotel always has people in strange costumes, staying for some convention or something BUT I always get the feeling I'm about to get sacrificed and end up having to run away and escape this particular hotel as I fear for my safety.

the big trash and treasure/flea market I always seem to stop at on the way to "Holiday Harbour", The Holiday Harbour which is lovely and I visit often, it has a man made beach, old cream stone building, the promenade I've walked down many times enjoying ice cream or coffee, boats floating in the harbour beyond the beach, carved sandstone railings, the beach has it's own little island with access bridge. Last time I visited here I was walking along the promenade with my dog off leash but close by, eating vanilla ice cream 🍦 in a light yellow sundress watching the water holding my hat trying to stop it from coming off in the sea breeze.......it was a lovely day 🌞 🌊

(I was trying to find photos as a reference to show my husband the harbour in my dreams and came across Balmoral Beach in Mosman with the bridge and little island this place is scarily accurate to my dreams I am very unnerved as I've never been to Sydney! But this is pretty much EXACTLY where I holiday in the Mall World universe!!!! 🀯) the random train and bus depot I occasionally use to get to the mall or travel between places, the old school, the one weird food truck parked under a lamp post in the mall carpark, the amusement park/fair grounds, the gigantic old zoo which is somehow attached to the underground markets, the gardens on the left of the Zoo, the big enchanted forest (only been here once)...............has anyone experienced any of these and if so what were they??????

I very much want to dive down the rabbit hole!! πŸ‡
