NBD!!

Got my Cranston D10 delivered today! Very happy indeed with it! Very little tweaking needed to be done out of the box, just some brake adjustments and pumping the tyres up a bit more! Everything seems pretty decent quality and all nuts and bolts are tightened to the kinds of torque I'd expect. In addition, I was actually impressed that they seemed to have actually greased this bike! I haven't checked the hubs but I can see evidence of grease in places like the headset and BB. A lot more than what many manufacturers will skip out on nowadays!

So, the intention for this bike is to be more of a gravel and offroad bike for my bikepacking. I plan on putting a brompton P bar on so I've got more options for handlebar positions. I generally prefer a more upright position, but it can be nice on hills to have a lower one to lock in. Everything seems to work really nicely. Compared to my brompton I do feel like I float over the bumps and things, but it's definitely a lot less nippy and speedy than my brommie. Really happy and looking forward to getting out on some more adventures with it!

Mint T9D max tyre size WITH fenders

Hi, I am looking to put some new tyres on a mint t9d-20d. I'm looking at trying 20 x 1.5 tyres but I don't want to get them and find I can't use them and then not be able to return them. Has anyone tried this with fenders and did it work or should I just use 20 x 1.35

Lucille's Journey

So I've been spending a lot of time making upgrades over time to my brommie (Lucille) and wanted to share my progress! The first was getting her second hand in April last year, the next in July the same year and the most recent is the one in the bike stand from just the other day. It's been such a fun journey tweaking and modifying and changing things to suit what I want from it. It's been so lovely to get back into cycling and enjoy it for the sheer fun of riding my silly small wheel bike. I've never felt the fun on any other bike like I have with this one. Inspiring me to take on bigger challenges and starting bikepacking adventures that are only growing in scale. It's possibly my favourite possession. There are more changes to come, but I think she's probably in her penultimate form at the moment. I want to get the handlebar and seatpost in black and then get the stem and main frame re-coated in a cosmic kind of purple. Hope you enjoy and I'd love to hear if having a folder like this has changed your relationship with cycling too!
