What do I do?
My cat was diagnosed stage 3 CKD about a month and a half ago. We went back to the vet last week and he’s at stage 2 now! However, we are giving him fluids two times a day and have been every day for the last almost month and a half now. Hes starting to reject his fluids, he’s yelling when we try to inject them. He’s become super squirmy and tries to shake it out when he’s done getting them. He’s not drinking water on his own right now.
He’s on a full wet food renal diet and loves the wet food, but he’s not gaining any weight at all.
I asked the vet about decreasing the fluids and she said that she thinks it’s been helping with his recovery which I agree but I don’t know, I feel like my cat is trying to tell me something. He used to be super chill about getting them and now he isn’t! Any advice?
