Rockstar Games Launcher Error #1.000.7 – Tried almost everything, nothing works
Hi everyone,
I’ve been stuck with the Rockstar Games Launcher error #1.000.7 for a few days now and I genuinely don’t know what else to try.
I can log into my Rockstar account on the website normally, but the launcher just refuses to sign in or gets stuck on authentication.
So far I’ve already tried almost everything I could find online:
- Reinstalling Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club
- Clearing Rockstar cache folders
- Reinstalling / repairing WebView2
- Resetting DNS (flushdns + winsock reset)
- Checking firewall / antivirus
- Creating a new Windows user
- Restarting router / changing network
- Running launcher as administrator
- Making sure date & time are correctly set (automatic time sync enabled)
Nothing has worked so far.
My internet is fine, I can access Rockstar’s website without any issues, and other games/services work normally. The launcher just keeps failing at login.
At this point I’m not sure if it’s:
- a launcher bug
- an authentication issue on Rockstar’s side
- or something else entirely
Support tickets also keep getting automatically marked as “Resolved” or redirected to help articles, so I haven’t been able to get a real answer yet.
If anyone has experienced this recently or found a fix, I’d really appreciate any help.
