Well, finally it happened. After my account being hacked a few years ago (I didn't realise until last year) and many many support tickets filed I managed to finally get my account back.

I found out that it was hacked because I tried to play rdr2 on steam and I couldn't load up the game as the rockstar launcher opened with a random email I didn't recognise. Long story short, account was hacked, couldn't unlink steam account without logging into the hacked r* account. I must've sent 50 or so tickets trying to recover my account, but nothing worked, they kept saying I didn't give enough info even though I gave everything I could within the form.

What finally worked for me? Here's the important bit...

MAKE A NEW ROCKSTAR ACCOUNT WITH THE ORIGINAL EMAIL FROM YOUR HACKED ACCOUNT

You will lose this "new" account when they recover your account, so don't buy anything through this new account, just make it to recover the old one.

Once you have your new account, THEN open a support ticket. Fill all the info you can and send the ticket off. The big different here is that you now have access to the dashboard, and therefore you can add ADDITIONAL INFO!

What I did, straight after opening my ticket, I sent screenshots of the following:

- The message showing when trying to run rdr2 from steam showing the hackers email

- screenshot of my steam account and ID number

- screenshot of the original email when creating my r* account

- screenshot of email showing my old Xbox account being linked to the r* account

- screenshots of emails from old ticket support emails (I had an issue years ago where I didn't receive GTA5 credits)

Obviously not everyone will have the same stuff but I think the most important bits are the original account creation email, steam account ID and the message showing the hackers email.

The most important thing is that you create the support ticket from within your r* account, that way you can add the screenshots. Without the dashboard you're not able to, they claim you can send stuff directly to the email you receive but this never worked for me before and I'm pretty sure theyre ignored.

\- Depuis ce moment-là, plus aucun compte ne fonctionne sur ce PC

Symptômes :
\- Rockstar Launcher se lance normalement
\- Connexion aux services Rockstar OK
\- L’écran de connexion apparaît
\- Dès que j’essaie de me connecter :
\-> Erreur 1.000.7
\- Si j’essaie de créer un nouveau compte :
\-> Erreur 1.500.7

Important :
\- Mon compte Rockstar fonctionne sur téléphone
\- Le site Rockstar fonctionne
\- J’ai testé plusieurs réseaux
\- VPN testé
\- Partage de connexion testé
\- Réinitialisation complète de Windows déjà faite
\- Clean boot déjà testé
\- Plusieurs comptes Windows testés
\- Launcher réinstallé plusieurs fois

Donc le problème semble lié spécifiquement à ce PC / à l’authentification machine Rockstar.

J’ai bien sûr aussi essayer TOUT les tutos YouTube / reddit ect … fuseau horaire vpn surpression tout tout tout.
Je m’y connais un minimum et la je tourne en rond parce que j’ai fait tout ce qui était possible pour moi

Hello there, I had ran into the issue of having a dead email and not being able to access it. Upon reaching out to rockstar games, I had ran into the unfortunate and common error of rockstar closing out tickets instantly, so now I cannot verify my email because my email is dead, and the ticket fields don't include anything I can use to verify my actual identity.

This is what I did to get my account back! It's actually not as frustrating as it seems.

Before creating a ticket to rockstar, make sure all extensions are turned off in your browser to prevent any errors.

Before creating a ticket obtain this information, as well as a screenshot as proof:

The Date the game was purchased on the account as well as the purchase method (for me, I purchased with a debit card, so I included the last two digits of my card)

Dates of any purchases on the account, as well as the purchase method. I had one on card and one on paypal.

Get screenshots of these purchases, or pictures of you're on console. I am unsure how to find the purchase history on consoles but on steam I just went to my purchase history and then went to all purchase history, then Control + F to find grand theft auto. I bought it in 2016 so I'm sure you can find yours on steam as well. Since I bought mine on steam I also had my in-game purchases listed there.

ONCE YOU HAVE THIS, WRITE THE TICKET.

In the ticket, include the normal information. The contact email, email associated with the account, the account name, the account name/link to the profile of the platform it's connected to (Steam, Xbox, Playstation)

Now, Write out your email in a text document.

Include this in the email:

Account name, Account email

Linked account name and/or link to the account profile.

Purchase date, purchase method and proof of purchase via screenshot for the purchase of GTA V and any in-game purchases as well. (Or For any game that has the link rockstar account)

Once you have this written out, submit your ticket. once it's green copy the email and wait for your REQUEST RECIEVED email to come in. You must be diligent because they will and DO close tickets out within a minute.

Once you see the email come in, reply with your copied email instantly and they will not be able to close out the ticket instantly. someone will need to look at your case.

I did this and got my email changed to my current one. They previously had been closing my tickets out instantly.

I was looking through the store on the Epic games sale and i saw that both red dead redemption 2 and GTA 5 was on sale. I wanna buy one of them but im not sure which one would be better to buy. Any advice?

I’ve been stuck with the Rockstar Games Launcher error #1.000.7 for a few days now and I genuinely don’t know what else to try.

I can log into my Rockstar account on the website normally, but the launcher just refuses to sign in or gets stuck on authentication.

So far I’ve already tried almost everything I could find online:

• Reinstalling Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club
• Clearing Rockstar cache folders
• Reinstalling / repairing WebView2
• Resetting DNS (flushdns + winsock reset)
• Checking firewall / antivirus
• Creating a new Windows user
• Restarting router / changing network
• Running launcher as administrator
• Making sure date & time are correctly set (automatic time sync enabled)

Nothing has worked so far.

My internet is fine, I can access Rockstar’s website without any issues, and other games/services work normally. The launcher just keeps failing at login.

At this point I’m not sure if it’s:

• a launcher bug
• an authentication issue on Rockstar’s side
• or something else entirely

Support tickets also keep getting automatically marked as “Resolved” or redirected to help articles, so I haven’t been able to get a real answer yet.

If anyone has experienced this recently or found a fix, I’d really appreciate any help.

I deleted my old email and ive been playing for years without changing emails, but I tried to sign into my rockstar account as I've seen some glitches in game chasing me to lose stuff and 2fa is connected to my old email so I can't log on, so after a bunch of tickets o get the same response everytime telling me to submit another ticket, then after all this I cant submit anymore because I've done too many?

Makes no sence, I have a bunch of images to show them to prove its my old email but I have no way of showing them because they close the ticket instantly.

Absolutely useless help design

I was hoping someone else might be able to help me figure out what is going on here. I have been playing GTA 5 since release in 2013. I had to get a new console and account about 6 years ago, and have been restarted and grinding out since, not a ton of time invested, but a significant portion of time was spent in game. Anyways, I have recently dropped Xbox and have moved to PC within the last 6 months or so, and have had no issues with my Rockstar/GTA 5 Online accounts since, until today.

I logged into the game after doing a fresh install, and now ALL of my stuff is gone. I have no houses, no properties, no businesses, no outfits or clothes, no guns, no cars, no special vehicles, nothing. Not even tattoo customization I have had was saved. I have 2 characters, one I mainly play with, and another I have just as a goof-around account that's as bare-bones as you can get. The only weird thing is, typically when accounts are wiped, they're due to modding/exploiting, which I have never done because people constantly get banned, its never been worth it to me to do; my account was reset to level 43 on my main, and level 1 on my secondary account, as well as $32.45 million dollars in my bank. I have never exploited, never modded, never glitched anything, and the only thing I could find that replicates my exact scenario is peoples' accounts being suspended due to a server bug on Rockstar's side of things, and it was restored after submitting a support ticket to Rockstar Games on their website. I cannot access my Rockstar Games account purely because it now has a 2FA in place, and I never set it up. I thought about making a new Rockstar Games account to explain my situation, but I think it'd probably pointless, especially with GTA 6 supposedly releasing sometime between today, May 18th, and May 26th (based on what info I could dig up that seemed realistic).

Has anyone else had this issue? Please detail your experience if so, and give tips on what to do. Idk if I should just spend the $32.45 mil and accept it, just wait for GTA 6, or do I make another Rockstar account and attempt contacting support?

I got logged out of my account, tried logging back in, it asked for 2-step verification using the Authenticator App, realized I deleted the app and can’t get my data back, and now I’m screwed.

Hey everyone, I've been dealing with this issue for a while now and Rockstar Support has been completely unhelpful so hoping someone here has experienced this and found a fix.

The Issue: I ordered a custom license plate through the License Plate Creator website but never received the in-game text message from LS Customs to pick it up.

What I've already tried:

• Verified game integrity twice
• Deleted and recreated plate 15+ times
• Restarted game and rejoined multiple sessions
• Canceled and reordered plate many times

I have only one plate on my account and I don't think its a storage issue.

What Rockstar Said: First they told me to delete existing plates (I only have one). Then they sent a generic TOS copy-paste without confirming if my account if flagged. Then a Tier 2 agent said "We do not have any information to provide on this topic" and closed the case.

Has anyone experienced this before and actually found a fix? Is this a known bug? Any help appreciated!

Filled out a ticket because getting into my account requires an Authenticator that I never did but it said requires anyways (the account is really old) and support instantly closed my ticket when I have access to the account through my PlayStation still. Since I have access to it still it’s pretty easy to show I own the account (I’m logged in and it’s linked). Just can’t get into it on my pc cause of the Authenticator but support didn’t bother in the slightest. Any advice on what else to do or should I just fill out another ticket and hope for the best? So i was playing rdr2 and it crashed, the first time it was just a crash and the second completly crashed my pc and restarted it. It crashes in random moments every 30min to 1 hour.

I've been trying to change my account nickname to match with my new username (the same username I'm using here, DuskLumiNova) that I use everywhere else, but when I try to change it in account settings, I get the error that it "violates the guidelines", and... How?? Like genuinely how could it possibly violate guidelines? This is one of the most confusing aspects of this issue.

I tried repeatedly to no avail, so I went to rockstar support to submit a ticket.

I did not realize rockstar support was 100% AI until experiencing it firsthand.

I have been trying to get a result, or even just details so I can get this situated and figured out but the AI "support" has been running me in circles since the other day and I feel at my wits end with it. I've tried explaining the entire situation so many times, I've tried asking for an actual explanation constantly, and I've tried repeatedly to ask for a real person to help because the AI is getting me nowhere. All for naught.

The weird part is how the AI tried to explain things. It would constantly copy/paste the same guidelines for account nicknames (which mine fit every qualifier, so I don't know why it was so hung up on that), a few times it tried to tell me the name was taken (it wasn't, one of the qualifiers was whether the name is taken, provides a link to search, I quintuple-checked it and it was definitely not, I went out of my way to make sure I had a distinct username I could use everywhere), the furthest I ever got with the AI was it telling me it couldn't process the name change because of some internal issue that it couldn't see (which, I assume, is because the AI is not a person and can't access much of the internals).

I'm just at a complete loss as to what I can do to get my name changed. I have no idea if there's any way to get a real person at rockstar to help, or even explain what's wrong here, but I'm genuinely so worn and weary at this point. Any insight/tips/assistance would be greatly appreciated ;~;

I was gifted RD2, and I go to play it and the rockstar launcher downloads. I go to make an account, and it gives me the stupid 1.500.7 error. I look up solutions, I try those, none of them work. I then go to submit a support ticket, cant make one without an account, I CANT MAKE AN ACCOUNT???

What do I do??? Was getting RD2 useless for pc? Why the hell make PC an option if there is THIS much trouble surrounded by it.

So every time I try to play rdr2 it says it sent a code to a yahoo email i lost access to a long time ago. The yahoo account is no longer even active. I make support tickets and they close them instantly because they cannot verify my identity for the account. I know they can unlink my lost social club account my steam account. What do I do. Am I just beat to not be able to play games i paid for?
