Anyone else still waiting a really long time for EAD/AP with pending I-485?
Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is in a similar situation because the wait has honestly been getting really stressful lately.
I filed my EB-2 ROW based I-485 back in June 2025 and my case has been pending for quite a while now. Biometrics were completed a long time ago, and my case was transferred to the San Jose field office months back. My wife’s EAD/AP already got approved, but mine is still stuck with no movement at all.
I’ve tried Emma chats, service requests, checking timelines, Reddit threads, etc., and I keep seeing people with later filing dates getting approved before me, which makes the whole thing even more confusing.
At this point I’m mostly worried because my H-1B situation is getting close and not having the EAD/AP yet is making travel/work planning really difficult.
Has anyone else had a similar delay for combo card approval while the I-485 was still pending? Especially EB-2 ROW / NBC / San Jose FO cases? Would really appreciate hearing timelines or experiences from people in the same boat.
