White lines and burning sensation tounge, after SSRI start.

Hi,

About 2 days after starting 25 mg sertraline, I developed changes on my tongue that have now persisted for 7 weeks.

Main symptoms:
- burning sensation mostly at the tip of the tongue
- white lines/patches, often localized to the tip, that fluctuate in intensity and number from day to day
- fissures/cracks along the sides of the tongue
- dry mouth at times

No major pain, no bleeding, and no obvious lump. The fissures actually seem more shallow now than in the beginning.

I still take sertraline. I also have well-controlled type 1 diabetes.

Does this look/sound familiar to anyone? Could this be:
- geographic tongue
- fissured tongue
- oral lichen planus
- thrush
- reaction to sertraline/dry mouth

Would you see a dentist/oral medicine specialist, ENT, or just monitor it?
