Hiatas Hernia - Help Advice

Hi everyone i want your opinion about that.Do you agree; Does this make any sense;;;sorry for the long post and english....i was diagnosed with hiatus hernia at first 3cm an after endoscopy and swallow test is actually small 1-1.5cm with mild symptoms. I was having a big talk with my doctor, im a very active person sports and weight lifting and 30 years old. This doctor is the best in greece and his team are doing the most surgeries maybe in europe. He told me with the way i live there are two possible ways in 10-20 years ...the hernia stays the same or the hernia gets bigger. As the hernia getting bigger is also getting more difficult to treat it succesfully with surgery. I told him i dont want to do a fundo in the future from what i have read.

He suggested the following if i dont want to risk it: you already have a hernia that will never go away. Staying like that with the way of your life there is a change of hernia getting bigger increasing the change for fundo or not proper treatment....why dont you try to fix it now with no fundo pulling the stomach down gastropexy, correcting the hole of diaphragm and correcting the esophagus line. Because you are young the healing tissue holding the stomach that will form will be way stronger than doing it on your 50s of 60s + the fact that the hole is very small and the diaphragm is not really stretched and smaller the hole heals way better. Why not fix it now then later with worse healing factors and maybe bigger hole. the older you get the surgery the higher the changes for redos or complicstions. This way there is a very high change that the hernia may not bother you for the rest of my life...whats your opinion...; should i do it;

Hiatus Hernia -- im loosing my mind --- please any advice

How everyone...im sorry to waste your time but i just want to talk to someone...everyone on my family or doctors dont take me serious..

I m personal trainer 32m and i just diagnosed with hh 2-3 sliding with redlux and chestburn and sometimes dyspnoia and a huge pressure on my stomach...after one month after that i really loosing my mind.

How can you adapt. The doctor said to avoid any exersise us it may get it worst, even running can do this ,no more gym. How can i do that ,is mu fricking job. Constant worrying what to eat or when to eat...so many food restrictions like 80% of food...ppis that i cant take them forever , they can cause anemia.

Constant worry what you do on your daily life, how to bend , what to carry, how you even tie your shoes, dont push on the toilet, dont cough, . Sitting watching tv thinnking do i press it now, im cleaning the house thinking to i make it worse now. And as the doctor said eventually the hh will grow and i wll need a surgery as the body gets older, not if but when, like a ticking clock. A surgery that have so many horror stories and restrictions.

Bu the worst is the physical thing, how can i left my job, so many restrictions on my daily life...my friends went for a amazing trip for canoe kayak in greece mountains this days and im sitting alone here thinking this is my life now. Im feeling like a 70 years old man..HH is what i think 24 hours a day..is like a prison....please any advice

Do them on your own risk. For people with hiatus hernia that want to train with safe risk. Please tell me if you agree. I have a hietis hernia and one of my biggest fear was i had to give up weights. These exersises have minimal to no increase in intra-abdominal pressure.

Good evening, below I would like to list some gym exercises that have minimal to no increase in intra-abdominal pressure. I know they are few and monotonous, but they train almost the entire body and they are better than nothing. Of course, if you do some research, you can also find exercises with moderate impact. These are for people who want to play it safe. Machines are preferable to free weights, as they offer stability and reduce the need to activate the abdominal muscles as stabilizers.

Of course, if the following is not done, it makes no sense:

Holding the breath, which many do, is prohibited. Exhale- Inhale

Try to isolate the movement of the muscles, do not lift with the torso, the torso is relaxed.

If desired, the weights are slightly reduced and the repetitions are increased

Not until exhaustion

Biceps:

  1. Seated biceps curls
  2. Preacher curl per hand

Triceps:

  1. Pulley grip or rope presses (careful good posture, no gaping, elbows close together, do not open)
  2. Machine triceps extension seated

Chest:

  1. Pec Deck (Chest Fly Machine)
  2. Chest Press Machine seated
  3. Hammer press (moderate intra-abdominal pressure not minimal but the best of the moderate ones)

Back:

  1. Lat Pulldown (Exhale while pulling down to relieve intra-abdominal pressure.)
  2. Seated Cable Row (But don't do the version where you bend your torso, keep your back straight and pull only with the back-hands)

Legs:

  1. Standing bicycle cycling
  2. Seated culf raise machine (not the version that you raise with the shoulders, the seated one)
  3. Hip Abductor/Adductor Machine

I know that these are not enough for legs if someone wants to they can add leg extension which has moderate pressure, but requires good technique so that the abs do not tighten

Shoulders-traps:

  1. Lateral raises seated (better on machine)
  2. Rear Delt Machine
  3. Face Pull cable (but good technique is needed)
  4. Seated Shoulder Press Machin (moderate pressure not minimal, but the best of the moderate ones)

feel free to tell me if we disagree on something
