I’m trying to book a flight to Tokyo using my Amex points, ideally flying ANA from a major U.S. city. However, every time I search, the fuel surcharges are coming out to around $1,000 per person. I’ve tried different dates and departure cities, but the taxes and surcharges seem to be about the same every time.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this just how ANA award bookings are priced right now? Are there any tips or strategies for finding a better deal? I’m looking to travel in November!
