So my turtle been receiving treatment for his edema since october 3 and it seems like his skin in the front is getting even worse???
Anyone know if this is normal during the process of treating edema? I’m very concerned, wtf is going on, he’s literally getting his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory injection right now.

he loves his ramp and new basking area
My turtle was not going on his basking platform since he moved set up so i added some fake plants carpet to make it more natural and easier for him to get to.
Last pic is when i put him on it by slowly showing the ramp to get there, but he looked really stressed by the new set up.
Tomorrow if he still doesn’t go over it i’ll try putting his old platform near this one and probably put a shrimp on it to attract him.
I also learned that turtle need to feel the privacy and safety especially in the basking area, so i might try to make a wall of plant or something around the glass (he literally think there’s no walls because he keep bumping his head lol)

I just got a new 75 gallons tank for my turtle and a basking platform I found on amazon and I was wondering how I can make it easier and safer for him to climb on it. Last time I checked, in his old tank, he couldn’t get on the platform and slid down too fast and was stressed about it. What works best for you guys? I have an eastern painted turtle who’s about 4.5 inch long.
Also my turtle tend to avoid ramp, he always use his strength to get on his platform even tho there’s an easier way lol
This is NOT his tank, i just feed him here to not make a mess in his house (also don’t mind the amount of food i put too much lol)
This is a picture comparisons between 2024 and 2026. My turtle is an eastern male painted turtle, he’s approximatively 4.5 inch long right now and 6 years old. As you can see he didn’t grow much since 2024. I’m wondering if he’s getting to his final size.
Last 2 pics are how he was when i first met him in may 2020.
Context on his backstory: he was found by my dad on the road alone nearby our cottage and there was a dead turtle close to him so he brought him home and we’ve had him since. I didn’t really planned on adopting him but i guess things just happens.
i really want to upgrade my painted turtle tank with a basking area like that picture but i don’t know how and where to find this, i live in canada.
my turtle keep putting his head in the lamp popping outside of the tank, but he’s not trying to get away, he’s just chilling there… why is my turtle doing that? he’s 6 years old btw
