So what’s the deal with the rule changes on talking to disfellowshipped people? Why is my mom in my life all of a sudden now after 8 years ?
hi everyone! I’m genuinely curious if anyone else is experiencing this. I know they eased up on the shunning rules a little more, my mom says that it’s a ”conscience matter“ for everyone.
for some context, we had our second baby a few months back, I reached out to her and told her she could come visit anytime. then she said yes, and my husband stuck up for me and called my mom and set a boundary that if she’s going to be back in my life there will be no talk of the religion. listen, I love that things seem sort of normal again and she’s speaking to me, I love that she’s helping us out and wants to be a grandma but there’s a part of me that’s like ?????? wtf is going ON 😂
