After a bit of trial and error, finished!

The flounce dress, advertised on the premier website a few weeks ago. (I also found it on ravelry.com)

Finally got to use the Hobbii Rainbow deluxe yarn I got last summer. Held double for this, with a 4.5mm hook

Side notes for anyone trying the pattern, because you work the top flounce into the original chain and row 1, I'll probably do a fdc for the next dress.

And the instructions for the flounces are missing the instructions to ch2 in between the sections (where it says to skip the next 2 chs) so I had to figure it out by looking at the finished product.

Just need to add the picot edging!

My mother has asked me for a blanket for her birthday in a few months.

It will have a soft backing to it, and I'm planning on using a single color Hobbii Twister Solid XL with a second color for whatever border I do.

Mom's only real requirements is that it needs to be pretty and squishy.

I'm trying to swatch some samples to send her way, but I'm looking for more ideas.

So far I have a swatch of:

Basket weave

Waffle stitch

Wheat stitch

Any others that are more squishy??
