Veluokldly J-100
Hey yall, picked up a Veluokldly horsehide J-100! Seen this one doing the rounds a bit and now again with me ☺️
I grabbed the Jiashi J-24 in recent times and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit wider in hem and I knew the pattern on the J-100 should be more fitted. But the Veluokldly measurements made me think it might fit narrower in shoulder and wider in hem than it does, so that’s good! Even so while this does fit well, it could be better fitting for sure
The hardware is exceptional! No notes. The detail is okay - I think this is very similar to the Jiashi in the feel of the build and attention to detail. It is great but maybe not perfect - for true repro purist types that could be an issue but not for me. Design wise I would have preferred a single chest pocket and hand warmers with zips but this was obviously as advertised so no complaints
The leather is very nice but as with the Jiashi it is thin ish. That doesn’t mean it is bad. It doesn’t seem cheap. But it definitely doesn’t have the rugged feel of an old American biker jacket or an Aero or whatever. It is thinner but rigid and tough - more of a different style than a cheap spinoff vibe imo.
The lining is bad enough to consider getting it relined. Some people wouldn’t mind I suppose but the thin cheap polyester is crappy to my senses - a thin wool lining would make a huge difference. Make of that what you will I guess
