Find of a lifetime: Belstaff Trialmaster Pro

Found this on Vinted: a brand new, never worn Belstaff Trialmaster Pro. I’m a big Belstaff fan (especially the older stuff) but this 2025 jacket I really like. The leather feels and smells amazing. Elbow and shoulder armour included.

It feels heavy but the leather is smooth and looks great imo.

This costs 1395 euro new, and I got it for 355 euro. Did my research to be sure it wasn’t a fake and it isn’t.

I know this style isn’t for everyone (I’m ditching the belt as well, don’t like that look) and Belstaff can be ridiculously overpriced, but this is a lifetime jacket and I’m absolutely stoked.

Recieved my Tailor Brando teacore horsehide

This one is a large unlined, although it does have lining on the sleeves which I'm happy about. I will definitely be ordering a different one soon. It came with a wallet too. I took off the leather strips that came wrapped around the zippers. I had to upload the picture in the comments because it they didn't upload

What have I got here?

Hi, so I got this leather jacket as a gift. It’s too big for me and I am looking to sell it, I can’t find the brand anywhere but from what I found these snaps are rare as they’re made by an ammunition company from the same brass they make their amunition from. Anyone got any ideeas?

Leather Coat opinions?

Hi guys,

What do you think about the fit and look of this black leather coat?
US made. Cowhide. New.
Asking price $3k.

A worthwhile purchase ?

I like it. But I don‘t want to look like a Nazi either.
Opinions welcome.

Veluokldly J-100

Hey yall, picked up a Veluokldly horsehide J-100! Seen this one doing the rounds a bit and now again with me ☺️

I grabbed the Jiashi J-24 in recent times and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit wider in hem and I knew the pattern on the J-100 should be more fitted. But the Veluokldly measurements made me think it might fit narrower in shoulder and wider in hem than it does, so that’s good! Even so while this does fit well, it could be better fitting for sure

The hardware is exceptional! No notes. The detail is okay - I think this is very similar to the Jiashi in the feel of the build and attention to detail. It is great but maybe not perfect - for true repro purist types that could be an issue but not for me. Design wise I would have preferred a single chest pocket and hand warmers with zips but this was obviously as advertised so no complaints

The leather is very nice but as with the Jiashi it is thin ish. That doesn’t mean it is bad. It doesn’t seem cheap. But it definitely doesn’t have the rugged feel of an old American biker jacket or an Aero or whatever. It is thinner but rigid and tough - more of a different style than a cheap spinoff vibe imo.

The lining is bad enough to consider getting it relined. Some people wouldn’t mind I suppose but the thin cheap polyester is crappy to my senses - a thin wool lining would make a huge difference. Make of that what you will I guess

Fine Creek Eric Jacket

Saw one of these used (new) on FB Marketplace but it was too small for me in size 42. I normally wear a 40 in most jackets and medium in shirts. I liked the jacket enough to look further, saw it was on sale at Franklin and Poe for 30% off and I became obsessed with getting the right size and buying it. For reference, chest - 40 in, shoulders, 18.9, sleeve 24.8. After an extensive “conversation” with Claude, I ordered the Eric in Size 44. When I first put it on it was so stiff I thought it was still too small. Within a few minutes, it relaxed a little bit and I knew the size was correct. Now onto the break-in phase I think I am going to really love this jacket once it breaks in.

My jacket that will be handed down to the kids

Recently joined this thread to get inspo/recommendations. Thought I'd share my jacket. Suede Deus Ex Machina jacket. Super thick and heavy and a delite to wear (even tho it's a bit tight these days). My wife has said this is never allowed to leave us and is now a family heirloom.

Fit check

How does this Goldtop jacket fit me? I am also looking to lose a couple kgs as I feel I am slightly on the bulkier side but I am fairly muscular though. For reference I am wearing a size 42 and I am 178 cm tall.

Aero Cafe Racer Black CXL Steer Break in progress

Been wearing the jacket daily since I got it and its breaking in greatly, noticeably getting softer and draping better especially on the back compared to the beginning.

After having both CXL Horse and Steer I highly recommend to order the Steer! looks identical but breaks in much faster, only slightly heavier because it's a thicker leather.

Thoughts on the jacket and fit?

The Few/Real McCoys New Zealand M422A “Fried Ostermann”

Just got this secondhand M422A repro of a Fried Ostermann Company jacket in a beautiful russet brown goatskin from the now defunct Real McCoys New Zealand.

Finally got all of my favorite American flight jacket patterns from WW2 as I also have two A2s from Buzz Rickson and Rainbow Country.

Questionable quality

Hey guys, I just bought this sheepskin leather jacket and it’s new, I really really like the style but I’m concerned about the quality. It came with some sort of discolouration/ cracks, does it look like it’s going to degrade quickly? I cannot exchange for a new one as it’s sold out, should I return it? I would love to keep it but I like to buy things that last. Thanks

Field Leathers Chicago

This is my first “proper” leather jacket.

Before this, I had a few cheaper jackets over the years — an absolutely battered second-hand double rider I picked up for £35 as a metalhead teenager and practically lived in, an AllSaints suede jacket that never really held up, and a Superdry bomber that split at the armpit after a couple of years.

Eventually I decided to invest in something built to last and started going down the leather jacket rabbit hole. Aero was the obvious starting point given I’m in Scotland and their factory is only about an hour away.

While researching, I kept seeing Field Leathers and Greg’s name come up. Turns out I only live about 20 miles from his workshop, so I booked an appointment with him last June to talk through styles, fit, and details.

I’d been looking at the Highwayman-style jackets for a while and Greg had recently released the Chicago, which felt exactly like what I wanted: simple, classic, and easy to wear long term without being too flashy or “biker” (I'll save that for the next time).

The whole process was great. Greg was easy to work with, really helpful, and I managed to get in just before he closed his books last year. I went back a second time after he’d adjusted the pattern slightly, and I also got to pick out the hides in person.

Eleven months later, the jacket’s finally here and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it.

Black Shinki teacore horsehide, Lochcarron medium-weight wool lining in my family tartan, and the build quality is unreal. You can already see some of the teacore starting to come through on a few scuffs.

Now comes the fun/daunting part — actually wearing the thing and breaking it in.

Nb - First couple of photos were lifted from the FL instagram so resolution is diminished slightly.
