XPedition2 worth it without the dual/long range battery?
Finally purchasing a Lectric bike after using my friend's XP Lite2 pretty frequently for a year. She doesn't use it often so she liked that it was being run, and of course I take meticulous care of it, but it's definitely time to stop borrowing hers and get my own!
I live on an island with some pretty steep hills (and a few mountains, but I don't drive them often) and have never had issues with battery range on the XP Lite2. I plan to use the bike as my main vehicle in spring/summer/autumn (too rainy in the winter), so I'm considering the XPedition2 to handle a little more cargo and even my partner on the back sometimes (we're within the total payload capacity with our weights combined and the individual front/back payload capacities with our individual weights).
I'm just wondering whether the bike is worth it without the dual/long range battery? I don't quite have the funds for the upgrade right now, even with the memorial day sale on. If I had a heavy load or a passenger on the back, with the standard, singular battery, what kind of mileage can I expect with a lot of hills?
I'd also like to buy the dog cart to pull behind me, for my 45 pound standard poodle.
Debating whether I should just go with the XP Lite2 and use my car when I have stuff to haul or a passenger, but I'm also imagining camping trips with my partner and how fun it would be to explore a little bit on the bike together, that sort of thing.
EDIT: I won't be attempting to haul a passenger and a dog at the same time, to clarify : )
