About the Archons' Gnosis...

Okay, there are a lot of things that I'm quite confused about and things that I really noticed.

First is the move made by the Tsarita. The chess game is a reference from an old championship match during the 90s. If you play chess, you will immediately notice that her move is "invalid" because taking/attacking the pawn (knowing that the Tsarita's Gnosis is possibly the King) while there is an enemy rook defending that pawn would leave your King in check, making the move illegal. Maybe that's why Rhinedottir said "Good move, I still hope you truly understand the nature of the game" in 4:48.

Second is the loading screen. We always knew/assumed that the seven symbols were a reference to the Gnosis acting as chess pieces.

A. Most of us assumed that their positions represented which piece each Archon corresponded to (for example, Zhongli as the rook at the end, with Tsaritsa beside it as the knight, Nahida as bishop, Raiden Shogun Ei as king, Venti as queen, Furina as bishop, and Mavuika as knight).

However, after the new trailer, we can infer that the Tsaritsa’s Gnosis might actually represent the king. This would shift the interpretation—possibly making Raiden Ei the bishop, while Furina takes the knight role. We'll still assume Mavuika has a knight role too.

B. I also saw a reference from Kyuiis (slime representations as chess pieces from https://m.hoyolab.com/#/article/13337086) suggesting that the Tsarita's might instead be a rook. This is a really good assumption because, again, at the end of the trailer, she appears able to take the pawn even while an enemy rook is defending it, which in real chess would be illegal if Tsarita has the king. If she were the rook, the move becomes possible—but it would also mean she is sacrificing herself to the opposing rook. At that point, this also suggests that the Tsaritsa’s and Rhinedottir’s match is no longer following the original reference game from the 90s. That move also implies that the Tsarita's can't be a horse because a horse attacks like letter L.

So, following the order in the INTRO, the chess pieces might be like this:

• Mavuika and Furina's = Both horses

• Venti's = queen

• Possibly there is no king

• Ei and Nahida's = bishops

• and finally Tsarita's and Zhongli's = rooks

- This conclusion still follows the order in the intro plus it makes a lot of sense because for the first three, Mavuika's Gnosis is missing, Focalors sacrificed herself and the throne of the Hydro is back to the Sovereign Dragon making the first 2 Gnosis kind of worthless already.

- Venti’s Gnosis is probably down because… I don’t really know. His Gnosis is the queen, which is pretty symbolic since he’s all about freedom, like how the queen can move anywhere in chess. So maybe because he lets people live on their own and doesn’t really involve himself, and we already know he’s not in line with the Tsaritsa’s plan, he’s basically seen as already “out” or not needed anymore for her goals.
