Am I a poser? Long story.

Not sure if this is the right subreddit.

M32

As a kid I liked Slipknot, Disturbed, Metallica, and Linkin Park. I never dove deeper than this and I mainly listened to gangster rap and some pop.
Maybe overall I had a good childhood so that’s why I listened to happy music and music about getting rich and partying.

I never dressed as a scene kid, emo or goth. It took until high school for my friend to show me bands like ADTR, We came as Roman’s etc. from her I found other bands like Yellow card, four years strong, As blood runs black, bullet for my valentine, Silverstein, august burns red, kills switch engaged. etc. but still listened to a lot of rap and pop.

Then I went to audio school and met a new best friend who helped me get into more metal music. Bring me the horizon, motionless in white. Marilyn Manson, the amity affliction etc. he was also the one who took me to my 1st metal and Slipknot show in 2021. I started to slowly wear black and band merch more. Since Slipknot I only been to one hip hop concert and all my other concerts have been metal. I can’t get enough of it live and listening to bands. I went to 6 metal concerts last year and Silverstein.

This year I’ve been to 4 so far with one hardcore show and got two more metal ones lined up with seven hills festival as well. Since going to so many metal concerts I feel like this is who I am and I am proud to show it off. I wish I got fully into it when I was younger. Wearing band merch makes me feel proud that I’m representing a band I saw live and it’s a good conversation started since I suck at small talk.

I did have depression in high school but it’s been the ultimate worst the past few years. Along with anxiety. I have my ups and downs. But having it in high school you would think I would have been dresses emo or scene. Maybe it’s because I just wasn’t fully aware of being cultured or didn’t have that type of friends. I think the closest I got was skater look since I was always into skating even though I sucked at tricks lol.

I also have slowly been getting tattoos, grew my hair a bit, and had a nose piercing last year that I knocked out in my sleep. Thinking of getting one again.

Should I wait, reply or move on from this job interview?

Anyone have experience with a IT for a town or working for a town and did it take forever to communicate with them?

Long explanation:

I applied to a town job last month. The process for video interview and then in-person was quick and great communication. When I arrived for the interview the manager was confused and thought I was someone else and he wasn’t sure if 9 am worked for me.
I said that I emailed him letting him know it was fine and even though you didn’t email me back I made sure I showed up just incase.

After the in-person interview the IT manager said he had 8 other candidates to interview that day but will reach out at the end of next week (Friday May 8th).

About an hour after my interview I checked my emails and saw an email from him asking if I could meet the CTO as his email wasn’t synced up with his and the cto wasn’t available when I was there. I emailed him back asking if the CTO was still available for today.

I waited about half an hour for a reply. And decided to call the IT manager as I realized communication was not so great over email. He recognized my number and told me he didn’t want to waste my time coming all the way back out here and that he would talk to the CTO about doing a zoom meeting.
I thanked him for saving me time and that I would be happy to do a zoom.

The next day since I know they leave early on Fridays I reached out to the It manger if he got a chance to talk with the CTO. He asked me before he left for the day if Tuesday or Wednesday’s next week worked for me. I went with Tuesday.

Monday afternoon I let him know I still have not received a calendar invite. He told me the CTO is in charge of that.
Nothing Tuesday. I emailed him again Friday saying I was still very interested in the position despite not meeting the CTO.
He emailed me back saying Was there a miscommunication on the CTO Zoom date/time?

I said I never received an email calendar invite from him and I do not have his email address. I let you know I was available last Tuesday at noon. I know you’ve been busy.
If this is still possible to setup I can be more flexible next week Monday-Friday.
