Best song to win over someone who exclusively listens to pop?

Bit of background: my son loves what he's heard from the music I listen to, but for whatever reason my wife finds it really abrasive and it spikes her anxiety. He's asked if they can listen to some 'noisy' songs together and I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations please?

My first thought was something like Rage by President, which is kinda djenty and has slight metalcore vibes, but I think it's too tame. Maybe something like Midwinter or sace6 is a good bet because they have really good pop vocals and some chill parts?

Bit of a curveball with the dubstep breakdown, but my son's favourite song currently is Sunglasses at Night by Motionless in White, so I'm thinking All That I've Ever Known could be good. He really likes Free by Beartooth also but it's a bit sweary.

I'm definitely overthinking this, but I'd love to share my music with my children so you know... there's a lot at stake 😅Thank you

Edit; thank you so much! You guys are amazing. I’m going to make a playlist with all of your recommendations, maybe two, one with ‘noisy’ songs and one with the more chill songs (ie Just Pretend - love that song) to listen to anyway

Controversial Take: Disambiguation is Underoath’s best album BECAUSE Aaron isn’t on it

Spencer never got a chance to flex his full range, and really hasn’t since. On disambig it sounds like he’s doing some sort of cross between A Keith Buckley impression fused with some Corey Brandon.

Daniel Davison’s power and technical precision behind the kit are levels ahead of Aaron. You could argue every hand he joins his elevated to the next level and produce their best work, like ETID with Low Teens

let the beatings commence

How can I start improving my guitar playing?

Playing for around a year and a half but I feel like I barely made any progress.
My fav bands are erra and invent animate but Im not sure where to start with learning their songs."
Everything feels way too hard for me attempt or too fast to pick up on by ear.( Even at 0.5x speed....)
How did you all get to where you are now? What did you practice or work on first.

What's a band you disliked or hated that you grew to like?

For me it's MIW. Rough listen to a lot of their songs at first for me but now I love em. They definitely have a wide range of music so they can be hit or miss which is not necessarily a bad thing

Daniel Terry from the DFT Dungeon takes a seat at the breakfast table to breakdown the 2004 Zao album; "The Funeral of God." IN TIMES GONE PAST, Daniel would have sung THE LAST SONG FROM ZION. This time, Danger sees THE LESSER LIGHTS OF HEAVEN. Monster joins Daniel to PRAISE THE WAR MACHINE.

"This band belongs to me now."

"Everybody with their tight pants and stud belts doing karate in the middle of the youth room."

"That doesn't sound like something Hillsong would write a song about does it?"

"Zao...the IPA of music?"

"This is the last song from Zion. And Tampa!"

"#notmyzao."
