What kind of metalcore do you wish would come back? I’ve been listening to a lot of older August Burns Red lately and miss that melodic, riff-heavy, technical style. Any newer bands doing something like that? I know there’s a bit misery signals style comeback too
I know the title is long lol but my friends and I are coming together to make a project kind of in the same vein of other revival bands we’re each in but I just wanted to hop on hear and ask what’s an era from the early Deathcore scene that has yet to be brought back that you guys wanna hear more bands doing?
I feel like Deathcore's gotten some pretty solid EPs this year, but what are some of y'all's favorites so far?
Guitarist trying to get better at writing drums/Deathcore drums in Songsterr: what drum patterns/accents/transitions make a song more whole and fitting? I typically use songsterr or guitar pro to write riffs but feel like my lack of drum writing becomes a roadblock.

The title basically speaks for itself: I’m looking for someone to mix my symphonic dxc song I have all the tracks and whatnot and we’re going for a Rings of Saturn leads meets Lorna low tones kind of vibe, max budget is $200 cause we’re just starting out rn. comment or message if interested and I can send everything over
Something I learned the other day (ignore the weird format).
I know there are several opinions on the anchored picking style compared to floating. I have been using anchored for 13 years and so far have not run into any problems with speed and whatnot but I’ve been told I should switch to closed fingers and floating. My downstroke economy picking is abt 150 bpm (16th notes) and my sweep picking is at about 250, but I just want to make sure I’m not holding myself back by doing this? seems ridiculous but I want to hear other opinions
