I finally gave this band a shot after seeing them get mentioned a lot on this sub, and holy shit, they are fucking amazing.

For the past few years, I’ve really enjoyed playing neutral karma, anti-hero characters. I’ll steal whatever I want and kill whoever gets in my way, but I do have lines that I won’t cross.

Slavery, mass murder and lying are usually the three things that make me go “nuh uh.” Basically anything else is on the table for me.

I see people criticize Dishonored for this all the time and it confuses me.

You are actively encouraged to play the games your way. High chaos runs don’t punish you, they actually reward you by giving you more enemies to kill.

The endings are darker, sure, but that’s a good thing. World reactivity is awesome. You shouldn’t get a positive and uplifting ending if you brutally murder every guard you come across.

Also, the chaos system is very forgiving. On my most recent playthrough of Dishonored 1, I killed a ton of people. I had a high chaos rating after finishing House of Pleasure, but I still ended up having low chaos by the end of the game.

IF YOUR BAND HAS CLEAN SINGING AND CHORUSES THEN ITS NOT METALCORE.

Real metalcore is hard and tough. You can’t expect me to take a “metalcore” song seriously when it has clean vocals and a chorus. Give me a fucking break. I don’t listen to that shit. I only listen to REAL metalcore, like All That Remains and Killswitch Engage. That’s true metalcore, maybe you normies should step away from your pop bands and check them out.

When a transgender person does something controversial or flat out immoral, pay attention to how self-described allies treat them.

If an “ally” suddenly believes it’s okay to misgender and undermine a trans person’s transition over them doing something wrong, then their allyship is purely performative.

We can’t let cis people decide who is “really” transgender or not. Some bad trans people exist, just like how some bad cis people exist.

I don’t actually know what that word means, but it makes me sound smart, so I use it to describe bands that I don’t like.

Despite how widely praised this album is (rightfully so), I feel like this song is a little underrated. It’s probably in my top 3 favorite songs on the record.

Facts.

I’ve been playing Terraria for over a decade, and I recently learned that the community consensus is new players should completely skip classic difficulty and jump straight into expert mode.

Personally, I only play on expert nowadays, but learning this still blew my mind. Expert will obviously feel like a normal or slightly too easy difficulty for long-time players, but I have no idea how people can expect someone who’s brand new to the game to not get frustrated with it.

For example, what do you expect them to do when they get to expert Hardmode? Die a million times? 😭

I have no idea how this band flew under my radar for over a decade, but I’ve been obsessed with them ever since I learned they exist.

Genesi[s] was considered horrible by most people when it released back in 2012, but I’m curious what people think of it nowadays.

Honestly, I really like this album 😭 I enjoy it more than Daybreak. I get why it’s hated, but it’s a very fun listen.

I don’t see modern nu metal posted here very often, so I’m showing some love to my favorite Tetrarch song.

They’re my 2nd favorite modern nu metal band, with Landmvrks being 1st.

I’ve seen a shocking amount of people say that Fallout 3’s OST is mediocre and not worth listening to. So many people say that they always just turn the radio on when the play the game.

I try to respect other people’s opinions, but holy shit… have these people actually listened to the game’s score? It’s phenomenal, like it’s seriously fucking amazing. Every track does a perfect job of setting the mood.

The tracks that play when you’re out in the wasteland are probably my favorite, they make me so sad whenever I listen to them. I like the entire soundtrack though; the combat music, town music, dungeon music, it’s all fantastic.

Whenever I tell people that I love the music in Fallout 3, I have to specify that I’m talking about the ambient tracks and not the radio, because the latter gets all of the praise. It just makes me so sad that this game’s OST doesn’t get the love it deserves.
