Which boss do you like better?
Atlas or Lady Comstock? I prefer Atlas. At least you don't have to fight him three times.
Which Bioshock has the best shotgun?
I am currently tied between Bioshock 1 and 2s full upgraded shotguns.
I slightly prefer 1s because I just love the pump but it's close.
I can tell you the one I like the least is that crappy one in Burial at Sea part 2 which for some reason holds only two rounds and takes forever to reload.
I feels sad about the state of the Bioshock remastered versions..
It’s been over 15 years since I played BioShock, so I decided to watch some gameplays/comparisons to decide which versions I should play today, and these are my impressions:
In the remastered versions, Rapture looks less dark, dirty, humid, and moldy.
And at some points they removed or reduced details. WHY???
Example: Bioshock 2 first screenshots, they reduce/remove the underwater plankton/particles.
Another example: They RUINED the Spear Gun in the Bioshock 2 remastered! You can’t pin enemies to the walls anymore. And that was NEVER fixed. WHY???
The remastered versions also have many technical issues and crashes.
I’ll probably end up playing the remastered versions because of the textures and Steam achievements (if I can work around the problems and crashes), but it’s still sad to see how they feel bad/inferior in some aspects.
I curse the guys who made these remasters!
Which enemy do you like better?
The Big Daddy, Big Sister or the Handyman?
How would you all react if Bioshock returned as a chapter in Dead By Daylight ?. Honest opinions. Artist : https://x.com/BioShock4DBD.
Fuck this guy
Atlas for both betraying jack in the first game and killing Elizabeth in burial at sea
Of all the names my doctor could've had...
I'm waiting to see my new optometrist. His name is Dr. Steinman. I expect to walk out asymmetrical and fabulous.
Wish me luck.
Was there not a third choice for Alexander?
I've been playing through bioshock 2 for my friend and I've gotten to this point in the game. I swear back in the day when you got to the choice of killing or sparing Alexander, Sinclair would come on the radio and tell you that you could do an alternate thing of killing him that was more painful and that would give you a bunch of Adam. I can't find this option in game and googling it doesn't seem to find anything.
Out of curiosity: would you guys be all right with another bioshock game?
Like burial at sea, and in general BioShock infinite kind of tied everything up.
The series didn’t really die
It just finished on its own terms
But of course, with the element of multiple dimensions
And the fact that there will always be a man, a city, and a lighthouse.
There’s technically another city like rapture or Columbia
That we would explore
Should franchise continue dealing with Bio, engineered monsters and philosophies ?
Well Im playing through burial at sea episode 2 (I'm kinda pissed)
What the fuck they improved and toughened up Elizabeth just to to kill her off
What’s your favorite things about bioshock?
I’m 23 now and I’ve had jacks chain tattoos around 5 years. The game itself influenced my love of swing music, Lovecraftian horror, and an all around love of anything old school. I really think there is something in these games for everyone.
My family has always struggled with substance abuse. The whole idea that this city is filled with super power junkies killing themselves for another hit was something I quickly fell in love with even as a youngster. Jacks tattoos symbolizing his life as a slave to his dna was something I always loved. And the good ending🥹 he chose freedom over power. Power over one’s self. The ability to choose what’s best for you. And not in an objectivist way. But in a spiritual human way. I hope everyone can experience a fate like Jack. Dying of old age surrounded by a family who loves you. A family you chose to have.
Andrew Ryan being a play on Ayn Rand with a little Walt Disney is such a perfect villain. I love him I hate him I love to hate him. His quotes are unforgettable. His dark past and mysterious outlook on life was something to take note of. “A man chooses! A slave obeys!” Is burned into my mind. “We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us” is great. or some personal favorites “10,000 Adam to any man or woman who can bring me there head!” And “which one of the bitches sent you? The kgb wolf? The cia Jackal?” And “kill me! Would you kindly.” His final moment he’s giving his “son” a chance at freedom. Showing him this whole time he’s been a pawn. A mindless muscle sent to kill his “father”.
You make it to the man with the answers. And his only answer is to show you have mindless you truly are. “ATLAS! You may kill me! But you’ll never have my city!” He’s just so cool.
Over all my favorite thing about bioshock is its themes. Self sacrifice, overcoming evil nature, antiobjectivism, and the idea that YOU hold the power to change your life and no one else. This idea that no matter how addicted you are to something. You have the power to change and you alone.
A man chooses a slave obeys.❤️🩹
Thanks for reading would you kindly tell me your favorite things!?
Would you kindly
I have played games, seen twists, got shocked a lot too, but no game has ever made me think about it so much to the point where I dreamt about it, "In the end, what separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No, a man chooses, and a slave obeys" is a line that will stay on my mind till I die probably, the twist, the betrayal, my only comment is.
No Gods No Kings - Bioshock inspired color-reduction linocut prints handmade by me
Hello everyone!!
I’m a printmaker and I like to make prints inspired by the games that I’m nostalgic for. In my honest opinion Bioshock is the single best first person shooter that I’ve ever played and it played a significant role in my middle-high-school years. I made this print inspired by that! 🙂
👊🏼No Gods No Kings👊🏼
This is a four-layer color-reduction print inspired by perhaps one of the best first-person shooter games ever made, Bioshock. Rapture is simply one of the most fascinating and tragic settings in gaming, and the splicers that still inhabit it are terrifying. I wanted to capture elements of horror plus the beauty of the underwater city. I’ve been wanting to do a Bioshock print for years but was always stumped as to what I wanted to do. Once I got used to using shiny gold ink, this idea just stuck with me until I created it
I mostly wanted to just share this print with y’all, but I also only have one of these left, so if you’re interested at all, I’ll put my shop link in the comments 😁
Thanks for lookin’!
Bioshock ACEO Mr. bubbles/Big Daddy!
This illustration is an original ink and watercolor drawing I drew of a Mr Bubbles/Big Daddy from Bioshock. My daugher suggested i take a shot at it, being that she likes playing it and i have played it, so here we are. It is a single piece handmade for those who appreciate illustration art and unique pieces like ACEOs. Made with ink, watercolors and paper material. Let me know what you guys think! For sale on eBay!
Ken Levine says he had to leave Bioshock behind because 'things can own you if you hold them too tightly'
yahoo.comJust started my New game + Run and had to ask
I just started my second run of BioShock and it's great. Nice to have an extra challenge and to completely upgrade my weapons. But I had a question for the veterans of BioShock about Atlas. Did anyone actually believe him first go round? I mean of course I did the first time. But going through it again you catch what you miss the first time. So I'm asking did anyone Actually believe him first go round? Or were you immediately suspicious?
