Do you all view the QTE's of original as good or bad?

I've noticed a shift on the internet that has really surprised me about QTE's. It seems a lot of people have shifted to being annoyed and finding them too hard.

I originally played RE4 when it finally released for the PS2 (never had a gamecube). Before that, I had already picked up God of War as I watched review for re4, excited to finally play it. Both GoW and RE4 did very well and EVERYBODY I talked to, including me LOVED the QTE's.

They gave a depth to that game that make things more realistic. You had to actually be "quick on your feet" just like Leon. You had the pitfall of instant death if you fail, just like Leon. You had to really mash the button to hold off Krauser from running a knife through your chest...just as Leon had to do as he muscled his way out of it.

It literally made the game be as memorable as it was even though now people don't seem to see it that way. I'm not saying it was EVERYTHING that made it that way, but it carried more weight than people seem to give credit for it now.

My personal opinion, people have become too soft and everybody wants easy access and anything that seems too difficult/annoying for them is instantly a bad thing.

Bleached Las Plagas tank top :)

I’m super happy about how it came out!! Me and a friend spent an afternoon watching movies and bleach dying for the first time, she went for a hornbill wing pattern and I went for this!

(I know there is the no cosplay rule, but this isn’t a cosplay right? And i’m not selling this, just wanted to share! Any issues and by all means take this down)

Finally got Professional S+!

Hardcore S+ was 3:29:32, and Professional S+ ended up being 3:30:09. I honestly didn't expect the difference to be only 37 seconds. 😭

Mercenaries skill issue?

So I recently just got back into RE4 after awhile and since I beat the main story I just started to get into mercenaries (just unlocked Hunk) but I really feel like I just suck as Leon, I don't know if this is a skill issue or if his guns aren't just good for me or what, but I know I'm actually way better with everyone else. Does anyone else have this issue?

Here's my silliest death so far that resets the pro run back to chapter start. What's yours?

Also I wanna ask do you guys usually buy a rocket launcher for this mine section or do it the hard way and get the dynamite?

RE4 (2005) - Bitores strategy I developed using only the shotgun

Basically, what sets this strategy apart is looping his first phase by shooting his weak point.

I think I fucked up my S+ run

I’m currently attempting an S+ run and I’m at Chapter 11, right before the Krauser knife fight.
My current in-game time is 4:24:48.

Do you guys think it’s still possible to finish in under 5:30:00, or should I just restart the run now? Any advice would be appreciated.

The game would have been incredible if it were linear but open world

I think it would have been awesome if the game were linear, but still gave you the freedom to wander off and fool around.

My Ashley broke.

I was playing re4r and I'm in that annoying room where an enemy pulls a lever to drop a bridge and Ashley just broke. I threw a grenade to stop the bridge from falling, grabbed the goat head, and tried to slip past everybody else that chased after me. Didn't work, and Ashley got grabbed, and taken back to where the goat statue was, took a right, I chased after so the enemy turned a bit and is now facing a railing, stabbed the guy to drop Ashley, she landed, FLOATING on the other side of the railing, and fell. After that, she won't stop falling through the ground and has a bit of a rough time following me, but she can't get grabbed anymore, left her in a room, seperated from her with like 15 other enemies, and they can't get her. Has this happened to anyone else?
