For anyone in the Wisconsin Fox Valley Area, We (I Rose From The Dead) will be opening for Demsfightinwords on September 26th at The Jamb in Oshkosh

We’re super excited for this show and if you’re in the area, definitely come out because the lineup is absolutely insane. We’re also gonna be playing songs from our upcoming album!

We’ve also all been listening to Dems since before we started playing shows, and finally being able to share the stage with them is such an awesome opportunity!

If you’re in Wisconsin and you’re interested, definitely come to the show and say hi, throw down, and support the local scene!

[NEW] I Rose From The Dead- Remove Thy Shift (FFO: Behemoth, Poison The Well, Boundaries, Knocked Loose, Women’s rights and autonomy)

Our new single ‘Remove Thy Shift’, a Blackened Metalcore song based on Robert Eggers’s film ‘The Witch’.

This song is a response to misogyny present within The Bible. This song urges women to seize back their autonomy from patriarchy and break free from the patriarchal chains of The Bible. Specific quotes include:

1 Timothy 2:12: “I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet”.

Ephesians 5:22: “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord”.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35: “Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission”.

1 Corinthians 11:8-9: “For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.”

If this is the “Christian truth” or religious truth presented in the Bible or any other religion, we MUST reject it as it reinforces misogynistic, evil world views that seek to strip women of their autonomy.

I Rose From The Dead- The Man With Fire (FFO: Early Motionless in White, Counterparts, Early Ice Nine Kills)

This is our single ‘The Man with Fire’ based on the film ‘Insidious’. We’ve released this song before, but we re-mixed and mastered this song for the album and it’s a night and day difference.

We hope everyone enjoys, let us know what you all think in the replies! We’ll also answer any questions anyone has.

This single is part of our upcoming album ‘A Haunted House for All to See’.
