Hello! Not sure if this is the right sub for this question, but wondering the hot spots for pokemon go? This is a big week to play so looking for places in the area, even up in Appleton. My husband and I go to Menominee park on our own but it never seems to be busy with fellow players. Thanks for any suggestions. I’ll also add that we are new to the area!

Anyone else attend this before? We went this year for the first time since the kiddo is in bed and asleep by 9pm so real fireworks won't happen. The whole show was less than 10 minutes. Like I wasn't expecting a full on night time display but with as much as they posted about it I thought it would be a little better. Just wondering if that's normal or if something happened to end the show early.

My family and I are looking at relocating back to the Oshkosh/Fox Valley area. Prior to doing so, I am hoping to find full-time employment. I can move ahead of my family if need be.

I have experience in nonprofit and corporate environments, specifically in compliance management and partnership/relationship management.

I am using different job search resources, but I thought it wise to cast my net a little further and post on different forums, as well.

We want our young kids (8 & 9) to see fireworks for the first time, but they typically go to bed early so we’d rather not camp out at Menominee all day in the heat.

Is there a spot we can drive to around 9:30, park and watch the show from a bit further away, but avoid the crowds/traffic? Appreciate any suggestions!

When it comes to city of Oshkosh and parking I really can't believe people put up with this. 30 dollar parking ticket because I forgot to pull my car in on a street that no one uses of come down. No street cleaning truck last night or garbage in the morning, then on top of that I have 3.55$ charge from passport lab. Really tired of this stupid system from top to bottom. Just want any money they can get. Vent over.

I used to host poker games back where I used to live, but at that time, I had a massive poker table, chairs, etc along with a ton of friends I could invite over.

I'd like to do that here, but preferably in a public location as I do not have the necessary furniture and I don't really want to invite a bunch of strangers to my apartment.

My husband and I are selling our Florida home and moving up to the Fox Valley area. Original plan was to get an apartment (Toonen management) and then live there for like a year and then find a house.

But now husband asked if I’d just want to buy a house. Which I’m open to, but we’d need to find a temporary living situation in the area so we aren’t flying back and forth to look at homes.

So, are there any short term living things around? Month to month works, or 6 month is fine too. I just don’t want to rush into buying a house because we can’t afford to live out of a hotel/airbnb in the amount of time it takes to find and close on a house. Also, we have 3 cats, two of which are ESAs.

Due to a lot of factors getting an actual apartment isn't the most feasible for me right now, so I was wondering if any hotels out here rent out rooms by the month. I know that for instance the Econo Lodge in Waupaca would rent out a room for like 700 a month.

So basically, like I said what’s going next to AutoZone since the car wash is now demoed and removed from that area?

We live in Oshkosh and our son attends a school in the district but it’s not in our address zone. We were accepted to a school previously and then Oshkosh rescinded that and we are worried that could happen again. We are able to attend Neenah school district so need to make a tough choice. Any insight on attending Neenah but live in the Oshkosh community?
