JBL Toure Pro 3 - 5.9.0 fitmware - Critical audio quality degradation
Hello All! I've had a significant sound issue due the 5.9.0 firmware update. I totaly not recommend to update this one.
Prior to this update, the earbuds had an excellent, deep, and punchy sub-bass response with a flat mid-section, which allowed for perfect external software equalization (via Poweramp).
Severe Sub-Bass Roll-off: The deep sub-bass frequencies (20Hz - 60Hz) have been drastically compressed and attenuated. The "rumble" and depth are completely gone.
Aggressive Mid-Bass Bloat: There is an artificial, heavy boost in the mid-bass region around 100Hz - 150Hz. This causes a muddy, fatiguing, and "cheap" boomy sound that overpowers the lower mids.
Dynamic Compression: The built-in DSP limiter acts too aggressively, flattening the dynamic range of the audio tracks
