DO NOT update the Charge 6 to the 4.0.4.1 firmware!!

So here i am gonna list everything is wrong with the speaker after update..i can say i took it for the team this time 😂😂😂 fking jbl again

Bass cutt: Deep bass 50hz or so got a massive got to a point the passive radiators dont even achive their full resonance point.

Battery life: Now i think even a flip 7 has a better battery life then this. For example before update with how i listen to it i would have to charge it once a week or even less now by how fast it goes i would say 3 days at best.

Dsp fucks up the stereo/mono simulation: As you mabye know this speaker can try to simulate a wider sound stage if you play it in stereo but now with different songs it dosent know what to to and switches to stereo and mono back and forth mid song.

So overall dont update dont even bother to think about it...the only almost perfect speaker from the jbl portable lineup fked up in minutes...sad just sad af

Upgrading from Xtreme 3 to Xtreme 5. How does it perform next to PartyBox Club 120?

Hey everyone!I’m currently updating my portable JBL setup. Right now, my main gear consists of the JBL PartyBox Club 120 and the JBL Flip 7. My friend has the exact same setup (Club 120 + Flip 7), so when we hang out, we use Auracast to chain them together for big stereo parties.I also have an older JBL Xtreme 3, but I’m planning to replace it with the new JBL Xtreme 5 Black to fully transition to the Auracast ecosystem. My plan is to use the Flip 7 for maximum portability, the Club 120 for car-travel parties, and the Xtreme 5 as the perfect middle-ground with a shoulder strap for parks and outdoor hangouts.Later this year for Christmas, I'm adding the JBL PartyLight Beam and EasySing Mics to the setup. For those who have already made the jump from Xtreme 3 to Xtreme 5: How noticeable is the sound difference, especially with the new AI Sound Boost at maximum volume? Does the Xtreme 5 hold its own when chained next to a Club 120 via Auracast, or does it get completely drowned out by the PartyBox?Would love to hear your experiences before I go for the Black version. Thanks!

Can decide!

I came across a great deal on a party box 130 on eBay certified open box which basically means brand new and it came with a one-year warranty as well for $300. I love it. It sounds great and I love the lights. I wanted something I could take with me when we travel. It was between that and the Boombox 4 but I was hesitant on spending $550 and even thought the Boombox is more portable I felt the deal was too good to pass up. Literally the next day I seen at listing for a Boombox 4 brand new on FB marketplace for $350 and I offered him $300 and was surprised he said yes. Now I have both and one needs to go. I have a return policy for the 130 from eBay but I obviously can’t return the Boombox as it was a marketplace deal. However I had no doubt I could get my money back or even possible make a profit. I thought the Boombox would sound a lot better but it doesn’t. It doesn’t have more bass but I feel like the 130 has a much fuller sound overall and the lights are a plus. Anyone have any experience with both or feel free to share your opinion. Thanks!

Jbl Partybox 710 in car

So I got an amazing deal on the 710 for $480 and I bought it without doing my research. I should have got the 720 because it has a battery but the sale is over so now it’s twice the price. Would I able to buy a portable power station to run the speaker in my car for about an hour of playtime. The portable i’m looking at is a Bluetti Elite 100 V2. Should I just return the speaker and get the 720 or can I possibly connect it to a portable power station instead of using a car battery.

I see why JBL did that.

So this is a screenshot from my JBL authentics 300 eq page after the recent firmware it got on the JBL ONE app.

Yes, we now have presets that we can save. 👀

I believe it will exist for portables and partyboxes, hopefully. [Edit] - just Realized it exists on the encore 2 now. I bet other partyboxes have that too.

Yesss🔥🔥 And HOLY does the 300 sound better now.

On bluetooth, it actually sounds pretty good now, the treble is now more sparkly and cleaner, more balanced sound and eq has better impact on frequencies. Good job JBL.

Real or fake?

All right. I bought a flip 7 from an eBay vendor. He said he stitched his own Branding over the JBL logo but it is legit. I did find the response suspect but it does connect to the JBL app. Is this real or fake? If it's fake, how can it connect to the JBL app?? Also, the startup sound is correct along with the connection sound and it is firm and durable.

Jbl portables to one app

Has someone updated the xtreme 5 with the jbl one app?
Im sceptical if the update is actually good or not. I heard that the charge 6 and flip 7 do sound better at higher volumes but whats the situation with the xtreme 5.

Jbl boombox 4 moved to jbl one app!

Today jbl moved many portable speakers from jbl portable to jbl one app.

But something strange that i noticed to the boombox 4 that the custom eq you will get to move the 125hz band up to +12

Not like the portable app that was limited to +6

I didnt try the speaker yet so i cant say that the bass increases

Maybe jbl listened to us and we can bring back the strong bass?

Portables now support JBL ONE, but there's a problem.

So previous posts in here enlightened me about the support of portable speakers on the JBL ONE app, that holds support for wifi speakers, soundbars, and now the partyboxes. This is probably a move to turn the JBL ONE app into the main app for all bluetooth / wifi products that they have, like other brands.

-Already tried the xtreme 5 which got an firmware (didn't notice a difference in sound yet).

-The boombox 4 did not recieve a firmware for me, just connected to the ONE app instantly.

-The charge 6 got a firmware in there, including the flip 7.

And i feel that with these two, the sound has changed the most. The eq seems to have a differeny impact on sound, treble doesn't seem to be as screechy anymore, but there's a problem⚠️.

Both the charge 6 and flip 7 are having DSP issues with this new firmware. When playing certain songs, especially bright and synthy parts in the songs, the DSP is having noticeable changes and cut outs during the music playing, (slight volume jumps in the treble). Maybe the stereo proccessing that both are known to have as mono speakers, is having on and off changes even at low volumes every half a second or so. Very weird and it's easily detectable. It is more noticeable maxing out the 8khz slider.

Hopefully JBL fixes that.

Overall, the jbl one app is pretty nice looking, satisfying to use, even though it is a bit slower than the portable app (the eq presets don't always load when entering a speaker page).

Overall a good idea to transfer everything to the JBL ONE app, i like the warmer tuning of the C6 and F7, but the DSP is having some trouble that needs fixing.

Has anyone already updated and tested it?

I want to know if it loses bass or improves in any way before updating it.

Throwing a house party

My dad got a party box 120, and I was planing on using it for I house party I got on Saturday. We got about 40-50 people pulling up and the speaker is gonna go on this balcony on the second floor which is pretty big. We want the inside of the house to not be at as loud do you think the speaker will give the loud vibe on the balcony and the second floor while giving the rest of the house space. I tested the speakers outside, and I stood a good 30m away, and it stayed pretty loud. I do have the option of getting proper speakers but it feels like a lot of hassle

Flip 7 update

Just got this update this evening. I have a stereo pair so I updated one and listened side by side.

Much better bass and mid bass at high volumes. A slight bit more distortion at max, but the step below max sounds as loud as the old max but much more full.

Honestly an overall solid update sound wise.

Battery warning on the app, what does it mean?

Woke up today and this showed up on the app, does it mean the battery on my Xtreme 5 is fake? Now I'm worried because it's only been 2 weeks since I bought this speaker.

Wireless headset to partybox

I own a partybox with the input panel in the first photo. I’d like to get my wireless headset (second picture) to work on this, preferably without having to add any other devices (such as a panel), in order to have a fully wireless setup. Is that at all possible? And how would I go about connecting the two?
I do own a panel (third and fourth pic), so I could use that if necessary (and need an outlet), but I still have no idea how to connect everything up. Any help is greatly appreciated!
